It’s been roughly 12 years since the Alpha version of7 Days to Diewas released on Steam, and now, finally, the game is all set to become a fully released title with the 1.0 update.
The Experimental update was rolled out recently on Steam for all the players, and it’s safe to say that players are loving it. A fan has pointed out that the changes to Hazmat Zombie have made them much creepier. In fact, some players even thought that The Fun Pimps added a new creature to the game.
7 Days to Die’s 1.0 Update Brings a Completely Fresh Experience
After nearly twelve years of early access, the highly anticipated 1.0 update of7 Days to Dieis finally here. The update will completely change the survival horror video game as it brings more optimizations, improvements, new content, new features, and a new gameplay system.

As per the game’sofficial website,7 Days to Dieis also coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on July 25th, 2024, along with the official stable version for Steam and Microsoft PC.
Players may have to wait a bit on console, but the pre-existing fanbase is absolutely loving the new update, especially its various changes to things like Hazmat Zombies.
Players Love the New Updates in 7 Days to Die
The7 Days to Die1.0 Experimental was rolled out on Steam on June 24th and it seems like players already love the update. A post on the r/7daystodie subreddit has pointed out that Hazmat Zombies are now much more frightening.
The player explained that the muffled groanings of Hazmat Zombies have made the character much more scarier.

The player added that they couldn’t find the source of the sound, so they thought The Fun Pimps added a new creature to the game.
To sum things up, the 1.0 update features new animals, asset overhaul for vehicles, a new gore system for zombies, zombie variance, a new challenge system, new props, road decals, new crops, new points of interest (POIs), including a new business strip and skyscraper, fresh VFX/Graphics Upgrades, various optimizations, random gen improvements, and updated controller support.
The price of the game will significantly shoot up and the developer has encouraged players to purchase the game right now. After the update, the game will be priced at $44.99 across all platforms and storefronts.
Thefuture plans for the gamehave also been revealed. The Fun Pimps plans to release an update called Storm’s Brewing in the fourth quarter of 2024 and two more updates, A New Threat and The Road Ahead, in 2025.
