Hunter x Hunterwriter Yoshihiro Togashi is regarded as one of the most talented people in terms of writing manga. His storytelling skills are exceptionally well and his art has also been one that constantly makes fans sigh in awe. While the manga has been taking its time, seeing that Togashi has his own fair share of health issues to deal with, every fan is patient in the process.

The manga and anime both have gathered immense acclaim with even the greatest mangaka taking their time to praise it. He has taken his time to establish the world, its power system, and the overall story in the most perfect manner. In this way, most of the characters have gotten their moment to shine.
Hunter x Hunter Needs to Focus on Melody
Melody is amongst the various unique characters introduced inHunter x Hunter. As a Music Hunter, her abilities are unique on their own. However, it is a shame that she remains to be one of the most underused and underrated characters of the series. YorkNew City’s arc introduced her character and many would almost immediately overlook the part she had to play.
For someone with so much potential, it was as if not only fans but evenYoshihiro Togashihad forgotten her. Through Kurakipa joining the Nostrade Bodyguards, fans encounter Melody, who much like the former, had her own motives of pursuit.

Her goal had been to demolish the Sonata of Darkness, one that cost her her appearance and her friend’s life. It was tragic but it gave her the ability to hear and differentiate between the most minute of sounds. However, in the manga and the anime, it wasn’t given the attention it truly deserved.
Melody’s Goals Deserved More Attention
Yoshihiro Togashi, through Kurapika, undermined Melody and what she could have done within the series. Not only was it about finding the Sonata but also saving anyone who seeks to find it lest they become like her. She saw herself to be cursed, her appearance nothing like what it used to be.
While the manga is still slowly seeing progress, there is no concrete update for the anime. As such, both of them overlooked a lot of Melody’s arc and what it could have become. She could have regained her original looks or even if she didn’t, it would have been interesting to see her complete the mission she set out for.

After Watching Hunter x Hunter, I’m Sure Yoshihiro Togashi is Obsessed With 1 Hunter x Hunter Character That Stole Gon’s Screentime
Togashi is yet to look into it and the anime, having ended a decade ago, completely pushed it to the side. Kurapika and his thirst for revenge had overshadowed Melody’s own goals while in YorkNew City. Seeing that the manga still hasn’t ended, there could be a way for her to gain the spotlight again.
Hunter x Hunteris available to watch on Peacock.
