To begin a Merlin Trial, you must scatter Mallowsweet leaves on the stone structure. Completing Merlin trials will allow you to carry more gear items in your inventory at a time, which is fantastic seeing as the initial carry capacity feels so very minimal. The Poidsear Coast region is accessed a bit later in the game and will have some challenging trials to complete.

Moths To The Flame

This trial will require players to attract three groups of moths to the three pedestals that appear near the trial’s beginning. At the start of the trial, castRevelio to highlight the different pedestalsto know where the moths need to be brought to. Now, approach each group of moths andcast Lumos to make them follow the lightof your wand, and walk them back to the pedestal, repeating this process two more times to complete the trial.

Destroy The Pillars

This trial will require players to destroy the five pillars with Confringo. Cast Revelio to highlight the different pillars, withfour of them being within Confringo’s rangefrom your current location at the trial’s beginning. The last pillar islocated a bit further back towards the cliff, and you’ll need to get closer to get it within range of your spell.

Accio The Spheres

This trial will have the playerpulling three groups of five spheres each to the three stone platformslocated around the trial’s location. Revelio will highlight the groups of spheres and the platforms to bring them to. Each group of spheres is pulled together, andcasting Accio on one will drag the other four sphereswith it. Any group of spheres can be brought into any platform, but each group of spheres is located near a platform to make it easier.

Wizard Golf

This trial will require players to push a large sphere into a divot located a bit farther from the trial’s starting location. With the sphere’s size, you’ll need to cast Depulso, angling yourself properly to send it in your desired direction. This trial can be a bit more difficult as there is agap between the bridge that goes in the direction of the divot, and this is the only path that works. When you get to the destroyed bridge, properly line up your character and stand as close to the sphere as possible.Cast Depulso multiple times as quickly as possibleto give the sphere enough speed to clear the gap. If you miss the gap and the sphere falls, it will roll down a hill and respawn back where it first spawned.

Moths To A Flame Part 2

This is another moth trial, with the player leading three groups of moths to the three pedestals around the trial’s start. These moths won’t be highlighted with Revelio, but emit a light blue color making them easy to notice.Cast Lumos near the mothsto have them follow your light and guide them to the pedestals. The paths from the moths to the pedestals aren’t always a straight shot and will require you totake the long way aroundso as not to stop casting the spell to lure the moths.

Wizard Golf Part 2

This trial will have the player pushing a large sphere to a nearby stone divot in the ground. This trial is a bit easier than the other one of this style but will require you toclear the path before focusing on the sphere. The small boxes in the way of the opening of the ruins are easily destroyed with force from Depulso, but there areplanks over the divot you’ll need to destroy first with either Confringo or Bombardo. After clearing the cover, head back to the sphere and cast Depulso to push it through the opening in the building’s wall and towards the divot. This trial is also much more forgiving, without any very difficult stretches to get past.

Wizarding World Parkour

This trial requires the player to jump along each of the four stone platforms without dropping into the water below. Thebroom trick does not work for this one, and while these trials are usually a bit easier, the middle platform of this trial poses a bit of an issue. While you typically sprint into your jumps, the middle platform is lower than the one you’re jumping from, making it very easy to over-jump.Jump regularly while not sprinting to land properly for that platform, with you able to do the regular sprint-jump combo on the rest of the platforms.

Lighting The Cauldrons

This trial will require players to light the three cauldrons on fire within a short time limit. These cauldrons can be ignited with either Confringo orIncedio, butConfringo is your better option, thanks to its range. After hitting the first cauldron, you have only a few seconds to hit the remaining two, but these can be ignited in any order.Start from the middle cauldronas you’ll be close to the range of the further two and will only need to take afew steps in either direction to cast Confringoand hit each cauldron.

Matching The Box’s Emblems

This trial will require the player to match the emblems of the top block to the emblems of the block it is stacked on top of. There are three stacks you’ll have to match to complete the trial.Casting Flipendo on the top block will flip itdepending on which side you cast the spell on. Stand onone corner so that you only see two sides of each block, as matching two sides will match the rest. Use Flipendo on one side or the other, with a healthy dose of trial and error to make them match.

Repairing The Stone Structures

This trial will begin as three stone structures are destroyed, having the player repair them. Casting Revelio will highlight the shattered rocks that make up the structure. Two of the structures will benear the trial’s beginning, with the player casting Repairo to fix the structure. The third structure is located a bitfurther away and at the top of the cliffsnearby the trial. It’s easiest tofly up with your broomto the top and take out the two enemies before repairing the structure.
