Force Spells are used inHogwarts Legacyto move enemies and objects around, such as bringing them closer to you, pushing them away, or making them float in the air. These are vital in controlling your opponents and holding up their attacks to decrease the damage you receive.

There are four Force Spells in total in Hogwarts Legacy, each with their own unique uses and capabilities. You have the opportunity to create four different spell sets, and including Force Spells is one of the most important things to do to deal more damage to your opponents. This list will provide you with the best of the best in Force Spells, and which ones you should more frequently equip and use to your advantage.

Accio is the first Force Spell you learn in Hogwarts Legacy. This spell will summon an enemy or object to close range. It can also be used alongwith Wingardium Leviosa, allowing you to bring an object to you and then control where it is placed automatically. It really is a good spell forexploring and manipulating items, but in terms of dueling, it is certainly the weakest of the four Force Spells.

Accio is really only useful when paired with three other top-tier spells, but on its own it hardly holds up (no pun intended). It can help to bring enemies closer to you if they get too far, but this isn’t always necessary when you’re battling big groups anyway. The best spells to pair it with are Expelliarmus and Diffindo, as you can use Accio to summon the enemy and then steal their weapon and deal a strong slash on them, knocking them down. Accio might be inferior to the other spells on this list, but you can still make it work so long as you plan out your way of attack.

Depulso is a Force Spell that will send your enemies backwards with a large amount of force. Though it does not deal direct damage, you can use it to slam opponents into objects, walls, or other enemies. It pairs really well with a few different Damage and Control Spells, including Glacius and Diffindo.Use Glacius first to freeze your opponent, and then knock them back using Depulso to crack their icy shell, sending out shards towards other enemies while dishing out massive damage on the original opponent.

Depulso can be useful for exploration as well, giving you the capability to send items flying or move their direction before you get Wingardium Leviosa. It’s especially good forareas with a lot of items or walls that you can smash enemies into.Surprisingly, this spell can also be helpful for those of us who don’t enjoy looking at the giant spiders in the game, so we can catapult them as far away as possible. It might not sound like a lot, but Depulso is certainly a handy spell but it can also be replaced by the Force Spells you obtain later.

Flipendo allows the user to send the target upwards and backwards. The enemy will flip a few times as well, and the cooldown is incredibly short which allows this spell to be used in rapid succession. Flipendo is the perfect choice for dealing hefty combos, as you canspam it often to keep your enemy in the air while hitting them with Basic Casts or Damage Spells. It especially pairs well with Descendo, allowing you to send your opponent in the air before slamming them down on the ground for a head-splitting moment. These two spells together are a force to be reckoned with.

As we stated before, Flipendo can be a great stand alone, as it can hold up your enemies and stop their counterattacks. It’s a great way to mess around with your opponents and never let them get a hit in. Flipendo can easily work with any of your other spells, as you may keep using it in between Damage hits from Diffindo, Confringo, and more. Its capabilities are considerably impressive, however, there is one Force Spell above it.

Descendo is a spell that, while it deals no direct damage, it will pick up the opponent and slam them into the ground. It can serve additional damage if the enemy is already airborne from spells such as Leviosa or Accio, as they will be higher up, so the impact on the ground will be greater. Descendo works beautifully on its own, without much need for support (although adding additional spells on top of it certainly helps). Of all theForce Spells, Descendois the one that will give you the most bang for your buck.

You can start byusing Flipendo or Leviosa to raise your opponent, and then whip out Descendo to give them that unexpected, excruciating slam to the floor. It can also be used well with Glacius and Transformation, which can both change the makeup of the enemy before they are taken down with Descendo, dealing additional damage. You can easily imagine what would happen if you dropped a box from high up in the air; it will completely shatter. Descendo is the king of the Force Spells, with its ability to take other attacks and boost up their impact.
