With the DCEU finally far in the rear-view mirror, it is time for James Gunn and Peter Safran to finally focus their efforts on their envisioned DCU. The first steps towards that vision have already been taken, with the CEOs recruiting Anya Chalotra, famous for her role inThe Witcherseries by Netflix for their upcoming project.
The project in question where we will be seeing the actress is none other than the first offering by the new franchise, titledCreature Commandos, which will be an animated series that’s scheduled to release this year. While the main cast of the upcoming series may have already been finalized, the finishing touches are being made with more characters joining the roster.

Just when we thought that the DCU couldn’t give us any more surprises after updates upon updates on their upcoming projects, they managed to drop another info bomb on the fans, and this is an impactful one indeed. In recent reports, it was claimed thatAnya ChalotraofThe Witcherfame will be joining the franchise as Circe in the upcomingCreature Commandos.
This news was just recently confirmed by none other than DC Studios CEOJames Gunnas well. On hisThreadsaccount, the filmmaker replied to a fan’s query about his speculation of whether Chalotra was a part of the upcoming animated series or not. He stated that this information was indeed correct.
The character she’ll be playing will be Circe, which many comic book fans might remember as one of the main recurring antagonists from the Wonder Woman series storylines from the pages of DC Comics. This might also be a hint at the possibility of Gunn making plans for the superhero in the future of the DCU.

The characters and their respective stars that will voice these characters in the upcomingCreature Commandoshave already been announced, and as the release date closer, we also have a few key details regarding the show.
It’s being reported that the upcoming series will introduce us to these characters, who will be controlled by Amanda Waller and supervised by Col. Rick Flag Sr. Waller will be a constant in the coming years in the franchise, and this animated series will open the gates to the extreme possibilities of the DCU.
