The British royal family is no stranger to conspiracy theories and very recently, the beloved Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, has been caught in the midst of one. The conspiracy theory started because, after her last public appearance in December 2023, it was almost as if she vanished into thin air. Next month, Kensington Palace revealed that Kate Middleton had been hospitalized for a surgery.
And now, speculations about Kate Middleton have been rising rapidly amongst fans and online conspiracy theorists who are questioning any and all updates that the royal family is sharing. Just a few days ago, Kate Middleton was seen visiting a local farm shop along with Prince William in a blurry video captured by an onlooker. While this could’ve been enough proof of the Princess’ well-being, social media users are claiming that the woman in the video was not Kate Middleton, but her lookalike.
The Conspiracy Theory Around Kate Middleton’s Public Appearance
Amidst all thespeculationsaboutKate Middletonthat have been making rounds on the Internet, one takes the cake for being the most absurd claim heard. On March 16, Middleton andPrince Williamwere spotted taking a stroll down to a local farm shop near their Windsor home.

While the video taken by the onlooker (obtained byTMZ) was a bit blurry, it was enough to calm the racing hearts of Middleton’s well-wishers who were as stressed as they could be. However, many others weren’t convinced at all that the woman in the video was in fact Middleton or not.
Fans took to social media to state that the woman seen alongsidePrince Williamswas not Middleton but her lookalike, Heidi Agan. Citing everything from the woman’s walk to the height difference between the two, users claimed that there was something fishy going on.

As for the eyewitness, they seemed absolutely convinced that Prince William was out and about at the farm shop with no one else but his wife. They toldThe Sun,
“After all the rumours that had been going round I was stunned to see them there. Kate was out shopping with William and she looked happy and she looked well.The kids weren’t with them but it’s such a good sign she was healthy enough to pop down to the shops.”
Despite the statement of the eyewitness, conspiracy theories do not seem to be coming to a stop anytime soon. Perhaps, the people will be convinced only and only when Middleton herself steps out to publicly address her wellbeing.
Kate Middleton’s Lookalike Breaks Her Silence
After the couple’s visit to the farm shop, Middleton’s lookalike Heidi Agan became the center of attention. Now, who is Agan? Well, in the words of her own Instagram bio, she is“UK’s most realistic Kate Middleton lookalike.”Back in 2017,Business Insiderdid a profile on Agan where it was revealed that she worked as a waitress before quitting her job to become a professional lookalike of Middleton.

And now, with fans claiming that she has taken the place of Middleton, Agan has finally broken her silence over the whole conspiracy theory. Taking to herInstagram, Agan posted a photo of herself sitting in a chair and joked,“Found her. She’s fine. #whereiskatemiddleton #lookalike”.Apart from the joke, Agan didn’t address the farm shop visit.
Was it really Agan who was spotted alongside Prince William or was it actually the Princess of Wales herself?
