Hearthstone’slatest expansion,March of the Lich King, is set to bring players a brand-new class: the Death Knight. Fans of the popular card game have only ever gotten to play as the original nine classes since the game’s release, making an all-new class a big change.

March of the Lich King is looking to be one of the biggest expansions to hit Hearthstone. While the new Death Knight class certainly has the attention of fans,Blizzardhas more in store for their Tavern-faring friends.

The expansion will come with 145 new cards, and some of these cards even have new minion types: Undead and Dual-Type minions. Undead cards will appear in neutral packs and any pack associated with the Lich King. Dual-Type minions are exactly as they sound, minions with two minion types like the new card, Frostwyrm; a five mana, five attack, and five health Undead Dragon. Like all Hearthstone expansions, March of the Lich King is bringing new card backs and hero skins as well.

Blizzard is bringing back the popular card mechanic Reborn, the ability to give cards a second summon after their first death. The developer is also adding a brand-new keyword with the expansion, Manathirst. Cards with Manathirst get more powerful once you reach a pre-set amount of mana. The developers of Hearthstone clarify that players won’t need to spend significant amounts of mana, just have it available. All players logging in after the release will also get the new nine mana legendary Sunwell spell, a powerful card that fills players' hands with spells costing one mana less for each card they were already holding.

The new Death Knight class looks to add a litany of features to Hearthstone. Players using the new class will have access to a new Hero Power: Ghoul Charge. Death Knights will have the ability to spend 2 mana on a one attack one health Ghoul with charge that dies at the end of your turn, no matter what. Perfect for players who want plenty of minions to resummon. you may resummon these minions through the Death Knight exclusive Corpse mechanic, adding every dead minion into a pile the new class can pull from.

Death Knight decks will be built around three runes: Blood, Frost, and Unholy. Players can stick with one rune across three slots or change it up depending on their play style. No matter how you play, gamers can get their hands on this expansion when it releases worldwide on December 6.
