Tulsa Kinghas brought forth several notable faces out in the open embracing their true criminal minds. In this actor, Sylvester Stallone might be the most significant, as the mobster Dwight “The General” Manfredi. Others are also not far behind with their own story arcs in the Taylor Sheridan-created show.

On same subject, actor Max Casella also had a few words to add for his character’s season two fate, which is definitely not subtle in nature. While it was just a wordplay on his part, it does bring out the true demeanor of his character, and the questions surrounding his loyalty to Dwight.
Max Casella on the Tough Choices His Character Armand Has to Make in Tulsa King
Armand as a character has caused a lot of trouble inTaylor Sheridan‘sTulsa King. From making several bad decisions and being a perfect liability for everyone around him, he can easily be one of the most notorious criminals out there. But his character did reach his redemption point in the first season of the show when he steals half a million dollars on the dispensary.
Soon he finds himself at a crossroads and instead of running away, he asksSylvester Stallone’s Dwight to take his life once and for all. This brings in a significant change in his character. But Max Casella who played Armand in the show detailed in an interview if his character is really ready to change in season 2 or not.

Casella adds that Armand has reached a breaking point and had promised himself in the first season that he wouldn’t run away from his troubles again. But in the second season, due to his financial struggles, as well as his drinking issues his pressure has reached a boiling point.
Further, when he’s sure he won’t be able to run away from these issues, that’s when he decides to faceDwight. Casella further added viaTV Insider:

And I think he turns the car around because I think he’d probably end up committing suicide if he kept going. He might do that anyway. He’s basically going to Dwight saying, “Do it for me, but I can’t run anymore. I’m not gonna run anymore.
In the midst of this the true question remains whether Armand is truly trying to change or he is just playing with Dwight’s emotions. Due to his troublemaking demeanor, this sudden change of heart doesn’t seem to come form true growth.

Even Casella admitted that his character might be acting out of desperation, and not real change. Further, there is a high chance that he might back out from making amends with Dwight this time as well, just like he has done in the past.
Sylvester Stallone Definitely on Board With Multiple Tulsa King Sequels

While the audience loved Stallone in this new role, he himself detailed why he’s totally on board with the show minting out more sequels in the future. The actor appeared in an interview withColliderand added:
I’m a big believer, since I started my career, in sequels. I think that if you build a character, why have them disappear? Like say, The Godfather, Michael [Corleone], you want to see him move on. I want the same thing with this. But the one aspect that we added was, in his original concept, which is great, gangster goes west… it was a little more serious and a little tougher.

The actor also touched upon the subject of how he shaped Dwight’s character inTulsa King. He added that originally the makers wanted Dwight to be a tough, and serious gangster. But he brought his own acting style to the role making him more offbeat and also someone who understands jokes.
