After his Oscar win and Marvel stint, Ke Huy Quan is delving into an action-packed film from director Jonathan Eusebio. The film, titledLove Hurts, has some sleek action choreography, which is not surprising given that Eusebio was the fight coordinator ofJohn Wick. Quan surprises fans with his fighting skills in the trailer of the film and they call him the next Jackie Chan.
Quan’s first breakthrough in Hollywood happened decades ago when he played Short Round in Harrison Ford’sIndiana Jones. Quan went on to become a stunt coordinator and largely disappeared from films untilEverything Everywhere All at Onceput him back into the acting field.

Ke Huy Quan can never forget his first Hollywood movie,Indiana Jones. He shared that everyone involved with the movie, including Harrison Ford was kind to him. They took care of the young Asian actor and Quan shared that he only had fond memories of the film.

He further added that when they spent three weeks in Sri Lanka for the shoot of the film, Ford took him under his wings and even taught him to swim. Quan shared withPeople:
They were so kind, and humble, and down to earth. Just loving people, human beings, that treated each other with nothing but kindness. I have such fond memories of working on it. We spent three weeks in Sri Lanka. We’d hang out by the pool. Harrison taught me how to swim.
After his Oscar win, Quan took on the main role in the Disney+ series,American Born Chinese. He also had a substantial role in the second season of Marvel’sLoki. In films, Quan voiced the role of Han inKung Fu Panda 4. BesidesLove Hurts, he is also set to star in the upcoming Netflix film,The Electric State.
Love Hurtswill be released in theaters on February 7.
