After a rocky launch that most players agree was too much, too soon, tactical shooterGray Zone Warfarehas finally announced the release date for itsNight Ops patch.
MADFINGER revealed today thatthe new update will drop on November 27.Although this is far from a 1.0 release, players hope the update will finally match the veryhigh community expectationsforGray Zone Warfare.

More Than Just Night Ops
Although the day-night cycle is the update’s namesake, the Night Ops update promises to bring new features, depth, and fixestoGray Zone Warfare.
The teaser trailer released today shows a lot of goodies.
You have the darkest night, night vision goggles, new weapons, better loot, and the much-awaited shotgun and 9mm pistol improvements that make these classes deadly again.
According to MADFINGER, the update will add over 20 missions. Many of them bring a deeper, lengthier experience than those introduced initially.

The enemy AI isconsiderably improvedas well, after numerous complaints about it being either too dumb or too good, with no middle.

How to verify the enemy dies, and your team does not.
Although it only appeared for a brief moment, the most innovative thing in the trailer was the cracked sight.

While weapon durability is a relatively common feature in games today, this rarely carries over to attachments.
The implications make missions a lot more dynamic. For example, approaching an objective with a sniper rifle requires a stealthier ride all the way in, lest you damage your scope.

While there are no public benchmarks,MADFINGER mentioned it is shipping some performance improvements, which were one of the game’s weak spots early on.
Night Vision Done Right
The amount of care that goes into night vision in theGray Zone WarfareNight Ops update deserves a little extra section.
NVGs have been a weak spot in shooters forever. Even self-professed realistic titles likeEscape From Tarkovcannot resist the temptation of making goggles clear as day, with perfect focus regardless of distance and no real downsides.

The MADFINGER team partnered with Night Gear Solutions, a Slovak company specializing in night vision equipment, to ensure that GZW gets the equipment just right.
The teaser shows some of the different types of goggles that will be available with the update, butthe developers also released adeep-dive video with Night Gear Solution representativesthat includesmore footage.
If you think night vision looks cool, do not get too ahead of yourself.Your character probably cannot afford it immediately, and they will not come by so easily.
Make sure your flashlight is ready, bring some water and food, andget to the choppa.
