PlayStation, Tango Gameworks and Bethesda held a gameplay showcase forGhostwire: Tokyoon February 3, most notably revealing pre-order details for the game.
Ghostwire: Tokyowas first revealed at E3 2019 by Shinji Mikami and Ikumi Nakamura.
Shinji Mikami joined Capcom in 1990 and most notably worked on Disney games for Super Nintendo such asAladdin, which was vastly inferior than the MegadriveAladdinby Virgin. However, Shinji Mikami later became one of the main creators of theResident Evilseries, one of the co-founders of PlatinumGames, and ended up making another studio, Tango Gameworks, which is known forThe Evil Withinseries.
On the other hand,Ikumi Nakamuraworked at Tango Gameworks for nine years, and became an internet meme afterGhostwire: Tokyo’s announcement. Now, the game will finally be released on PlayStation 5 and PC (Epic and Steam) on August 11, 2025. The game is a PS5 one-year exclusive as specified on the showcase. Several editions are available for pre-order.

Furthermore on the PSNand on PC, there is also a digital Deluxe Edition of the game, containing the same pre-order bonuses plus a Shinobi outfit, the Kunai weapon, and a Streetwear Fashion Pack. Moreover, you’ll be able to playGhostwire: Tokyothree days early with a March 22 early access.
