Ghost of Tsushima 2has been knocking on the door for a really long time. Although Sucker Punch is mostly quiet about it and there is no official release date confirmed yet, but at least it is in development. However, it didn’t stop people from speculating and rumoring about the upcoming title.

Back in May, we finally got the PC port of its predecessor, which was a pretty big deal. But the successor is going to be way bigger. We might not know anything about the game yet, but this title must follow the steps of another popular game, to carry forward its legacy.
Shadow of ErdtreeGaveElden Ringa New Meaning
Elden Ringwas released in 2022 and after that went on to become one of the greatest gaming titles of all time. The game sold more than 25 million copies around the world. People thought they had seen it all when the legendaryShadow of the ErdtreeDLC was launched two years later.
This DLC gaveElden Ringa new path, a new dimension where the character continues his journey in the land of Shadow. The vertical dimension of the Land of Shadow took exploration to a whole new level.

Now this vertical exploration makes some of the normal places a way of unexpected exploration, which is the biggest USP of the expansion. That is why this DLC sold more than 5 million copies alone.
For example, the Stone Coffin Fissure area might have been a normal spot if it wasn’t for the vertical exploration feature in the DLC. This area is a gigantic underground cavern that can only be found through detailed exploration of the surface, thanks to the vertical dimension. Needless to mention, this spot is on the absolute edge of the map, which makes it even more challenging to find out.

Ghost of Tsushima 2 Should Follow the Path ofElden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree
Just likeElden Ring,Ghost of Tsushimais popular for its astounding exploration areas. But the problem is that this exploration experience is doomedas the unexplored parts are way too easy to find out.
Sucker Punch might have left these areas like these to represent the Tsushima island more accurately in terms of its history. Now, a vertical representation of the Tsushima island with more unexplored and difficult areas might make this game a groundbreaking product from Sucker Punch.

Now they can’t just blatantly enlarge the vertical terrain. What the developers need to do is give some tools or apparatus to make this vertical exploration somewhat easy, as this exploration will be a lot more difficult as compared to its orthodox predecessor.
That is howRise of the Roninsucceeded as well when it featured a glider that allowed players to return to the ground much quicker than normally climbing down the terrain.
