GEX Trilogy is adding new versions of the game in a future update that will please a large chunk of the fanbase, as the PAL versions with different voice actors are coming to the three titles, with theSteampatch coming first.
In the USA versions of GEX, GEX: Enter the Gecko, and GEX 3: Deep Cover Gecko,the titular lizardwas voiced by comedian Dana Gould. In the UK/PAL releases, Gould voiced Gex in the first game, but Leslie Phillips portrayed him in the second entry, and Danny John-Jules in the final game.

Ubisoft has confirmed that the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake is still in development after five years of waiting, via an emotional X post.
GEX Trilogy has restored all three titles for modern platforms, and to celebrate its launch, Limited Run Games has announced on BlueSky that it’s being updated to add the PAL versions of the games, which willrestore the UK voice actorsfor Gex.
The UK Versions Of Gex Are Back
The update for GEX Trilogy is currently being pushed out on Steam, with the console versions expected to receive it soon. Once live, players can select the PAL versions of the second and third games, featuring different voices.
Dana Gould’s iteration of Gex was a catchphrase-spouting American sitcom-style character who loved to make movie references. Meanwhile, Leslie Phillips voiced Gex as a smooth-talking spy, while Danny John-Julesjust did his Cat voicefrom Red Dwarf.
Obviously, the GEX Trilogyis all about nostalgia, and fans are going to want to play the versions of the game that they grew up with. That being said, listening to Baby Mario crying through a Darth Vader voice modulator for an hour straight is preferable to listening to a second of Dana Gould’s Gex voice, so GEX Trilogy is about to be made eight million percent better than it currently is.
