Saw X: All Of The Traps, Explained
Every trap in Saw X is unique, but how do these traps rank against each other in terms of the pain they inflict upon the victims?
One of the biggest puzzles is the secretive Woods facility located under Godolkin University. We’ve seen glimpses of horrifying experiments in this underground lab, but Vought has kept the true nature and purpose of Woods tightly under wraps. As the season continues, The Woods will be key to understanding many of the series’ key themes.

The Woods Facility’s Links To Godolkin U & Vought
The Woods is an underground facility managed by Vought International to conduct experiments on imprisoned supes. It differs from typical Vought labs in its strict secrecy and security measures, suggesting highly unethical research of valuable or dangerous subjects. With the limited information provided so far, speculation circulates about what truly goes on in the confines of The Woods and how it fits into Vought’s operations.
There’s also a hint that the whole reason Godolkin University was built might be to cover up the existence of this lab. A significant portion of the third episode focuses on Emma, Polarity, and their crew devising a plan to sneak into this hidden lab. In addition to unraveling the mysteries surrounding this secret lab, they are trying to save Golden Boy’s brother, who has been locked up there. Emma even has to fight off some guards while she’s trying to get in and out of the facility.

So, there’s a clear connection between The Woods, Vought, and Godolkin University. A crucial character, Dean Indira Shetty, who has a big role at the university, is heavily involved in the experiments happening in The Woods. Conversations between her and a person from Vought, Ashley Barrett, hint at them possibly hiding something big. This becomes even more suspicious when you recall the sad and surprising demise of Golden Boy, which seems to be connected to what’s happening at the lab.
Characters Who Know About the Woods In Gen V
A startling number of characters in Gen V have become privy to The Woods' existence and purpose. Some also seem to know about its history. At the top of the list are the bigwigs at Vought—individuals likeAshley Barrett and the Dean of Godolkin University. There’s a strong implication that Coach Brink is also in the know about the Woods, which may have led to his demise at Golden Boy’s hands. His death is presumably due to a hostage situation involving Brink’s brother in the Woods.
Beyond these key figures and the obvious facility guards, no other Vought employees are confirmed to be aware. Outside the Vought circle, a handful of non-employees have also stumbled onto the Woods' secret. After Golden Boy’s death, his friends delve into the mystery of the facility. Andre, who gets a significant hint from Golden Boy just before he dies, is the first to comprehend the Woods' nature. Emma joins Andre in his investigation, leading to her discovery of the Woods.Sam Riordan, Golden Boy’s brother, learns about the Woods the hard way—by being held captive there.

Castlevania: Nocturne: Is Dracula Alive In The Spin-Off?
With the spin-off featuring a new villain, fans wonder about the parent series' antagonist. We explain if Dracula is alive in Castlevania: Nocturne.
The web of those in the know also extends to Godolkin University, where the Dean, Indira Shetty, is involved in conducting tests. Andre’s father,Polarity, recognizes the name of the Woods and advises his son to steer clear of the enigma. As Andre delves deeper, he ropes in more allies. Initially, he enlists Cate and Emma, who manage to infiltrate the Woods. When Emma finds herself temporarily trapped in the facility, Andre confides in Marie and Jordan, expanding the circle of those investigating the Woods. In essence, the Woods is a secret that’s not so secret after all. For now, it’s clear that the Woods is another grim brainchild of Vought that calls for obliteration.
