Fire Emblem: Engageis a popular turn-based RPG with a large cast of characters and mechanics. Separating itself from others in the genre with its 3D cutscenes, a large variety of character options, and tons of unique classes, there are a lot of different ways that you can play through Fire Emblem: Engage. The newest in the franchise, the Engage part of the name is because you’re able toteam up with characters from past games.

With such a large variety of characters, finding the perfect team can be hard. Not only are therehundreds of team options, but there are also hundreds of play styles and mechanics to understand. It can become confusing with all that there is — especially when characters can fit into several different classes and have different emblems. Characters will be obtained throughout the game in different chapters, so while it may be a team with only one or two characters, the team will quickly grow until there are too many to even be on the team.
Who Is Timerra?
Thedaughter of Queen Seforia, she is the official princess of Solm. She loves to help others and be there for the people in Solm. Her retainers arePanetteand Merrin, and she’s often with them both. She’s a free spirit and isn’t afraid to have a good laugh. Her bright color pallet matches her personality, as she’s veryhigh energy. Timerra is first seen in the prologue butobtained in Chapter 13: Heroes of the Oasis.

Base Build & Stat Growth
Timerra is aSentinel. This is a base class that works as a backup for any team. There are no exclusive skills to the Sentinel skill. She’s strong and fast, able to help anyone else on the team have that bit of extra support they may need on the battlefield. Timerra’spersonal class is a Picket;this goes along with her Sentinel class and is the only class that can use theSandstorm skill.

Timerra’s Base Stats
Her growth is mostly found in herHealth,Speed, andDexterity. This is useful, as being fast and getting through opponents before they can get to you is essential — especially when there are team members that may not have the strength to fight alone and can be a bit slower. HerMagicand herConstitutionaren’t that high, making her not the heaviest tank on the team andnot good to wield anything with magic.
She’s already got pretty good stats upon joining the team. Timerra won’t do much on the front lines, so if a team is in need of thatrear support, that’s where sheshines through the most. While she can be adapted to be used on the front lines, it may be a bit dangerous for her without the right emblem.
Good Classes For Timerra
Starting off with the Timerra starting class — the Picket, her personal Sentinel class — it’s not too bad to stick with it during the game. Due to thefocus on Defense, using an emblem to heighten other stats may be needed.Sandstorm,the ability exclusiveto her, uses her defense to calculate the power. Being150% of her Defense stat, it can sweep through enemies.
Recommended Emblems For Timerra In The Picket Class
For weapons, theSilver Lanceis the most basic option. It’s a good base option for lance-wielding classes and doesn’t have many extreme upsides or downsides. TheKiller Lanceis also a good solid option to choose. TheBrave Lanceis solid to get more hits on enemies, yet Timerra will get a speed penalty with the weapon. This means no hitting twice unless she has ungodly speed. TheJavelin is nice for keeping Timerra at range— as long as it wasn’t so heavy. Getting Timmera’s build higher would be required to wield the Javelin properly. Another way to have Timerra use the Javelin is to have team members who attack very fast to balance out her slow attacks with the spear.
Becoming aGriffin Knightis a good solid class for Timerra to land in. Having the possibility for Timerra to heal is also good, as a solid backup it would work out with her original fighting type. As well as she’d be less prone to be hurt by land enemies and only have to worry about airborne projectiles and other flying foes.
Recommended Emblems For Timerra In The Griffin Knight Class
Of course, being a Griffin Knight,healing is a very viable option. Using the Brave Lance can up the number of times that Timerra attacks. The Javelin is yet again a good ranged option. The spear is quite similar to the javelin, just heavier. The spear isn’t as recommended though, since Timerra’s build isn’t the best.
Being a Hero also works with Timerra. She won’t have her sandstorm ability, along with having a lower dexterity stat. Coming with the hero role, Timerra will then be able to wield swords. With a variety of options for weaponry, it helps give a large variety in battle.
Recommended Emblems For Timerra In The Hero Class
Both the Silver Lance and Silver Sword are good base options for any character wielding a sword or a lance, as they’re fairly balanced for whatever the job may be. A spear is a good option with its long-range abilities. With this, theArmorslayercan get through enemies with armor. Armor and guards in front of enemies can prove to be quite annoying, so having a weapon specifically for getting through that is useful.

Timerra’s Favorite Gifts
To get Timerra up to par with other team members, gifting is a good way to go. There are gifts that every character will like, depending on their personality and preferences. With this, there are also items that characters dislike. These would be things to avoid as it won’t be effective.
Timerra’s Favorite Items
Timerrawon’t liketheSharp Chisel,Sewing Kit, andFairytale Book. She likes animal-based things, along with the Spirit gem, which all characters like. Anything out of this list she won’t hate, but she won’t like them as much as her favorites.
