Where To Find Piko
After receiving the request to find Piko, players will need to head to the front entrance of the Ranch. Looking at thedirt path right near the entrance heading south, players will see claw marks the Chocobo left behindwhen running away. These marks can be followed to lead players to the Chocobo, with the creaturebeing located in a field not too far south from the Ranch.

Sneaking Up On Piko
When trying to wrangle anew Chocobo,players will first need tocomplete a stealth minigame where they avoid the other Chocobosto get behind the named one. Sneaking up on Piko is fairly easy, as the other two Chocobo will often have their back turned to the straight path from the player to Piko when coming from the direction of the Ranch.
Hiding in tall grass can obscure a Chocobo’s vision,while rocks can also be found andthrown to make a noise and distract any nearby Chocobo and make them look away.After approaching Piko, stay behind the creature and interact with it to play out a cutscene and complete the minigame.
Using Your Chocobo
Upon returning to the Ranch, Piko will now be your Chocobo for the Grasslands. Piko can becalled anytime by pressing R1 and mounted simply by walking up to the creature.Using R2 while riding will have the creature sprint and cover long distances quickly. Unlocking a Chocobo in any region doesn’t allow players to travelbetween different regions,but does allow you tofast travel to any completed World Intel or any fixed Chocobo signs.
Getting a Chocobo will help players explore a region and complete World Intel to increase theParty Level.This is different from character’s individual levels, which will require similar forms forgrinding to level up.
