Many ofFinal Fantasy 16’s side quests will give Clive a clear location to travel to for what is being asked of him, while hunts require players to explore a bit more. Despite the linear style of the game, Valisthea is still a vast world to explore, and even with a general idea of where to go, some optional content may be harder to track down than others.

This treasure map is found towards the end of the game while exploring the last area of Waloed. Upon finding this item, players will need to use its clue to track down the location of the lost treasure.
Treasure Location
Upon picking up the treasure map, the treasure will spawn in its respective location in the world. First, travel toThe Gilded Path obeliskinDhalmekia. From that obelisk,travel west through the canyon until the path splits. Take thesouthern path of Titan’s Wakepast some goblins until you find a Hill Gigas.Defeat the Hill Gigas, as it will stay in combat with you up to the treasure’s location, and you won’t be able to pick it up.
Lookalong the left side of the path and climb to the upper areaof the valley to find an abandoned campsite. Within the campsite will be a chest to be opened, containing the target of your search, the Old Man’s Treasure.

What To Do With The Treasure
Ultimately the treasure only has a single purpose, to be taken to any nearby shop andsold for a high price. The total selling price of thisitem is100,000 gil,the most expensive treasure in the game, making your treasure hunt well worth the effort. There is only one Old Man’s Treasure per playthrough, and you’ll need to create a new game plus playthrough to find another.
