How To Use Limit Break

To use Limit Break, press down L3 and R3 at the same time when you have some energyin the Limit Break bar. While active, the bar will be quickly drained no matter what action you are doing, so make every second count. Toearn energy for your limit break, simply land attacks on enemieswhile not Limit Breaking. Landing skills also increase your energy, with Garuda’s Gouge ability being extra efficient with its many individual attacks. Limit Break can also beused with any amount of energy after the first bar is filled, not requiring you to fill every bar before activating it. After the first bar, the energy will turn orange, indicating that it can be activated. Limit Break canalso be canceled by pressing L3 and R3, but this will lose any remaining energy not used.

Limit Break isbest used against staggered enemies, as it multiplies your usual damage, and staggered enemies take further multiplied damage. Landing attacks while semi-primed will also recover Clive’s lost HP, makingit a useful way of quickly healing him in combat without using items. You can also useLionheart Tonics to regain Limit Break energyto quickly use the ability again in difficult battles.
