One of the games that was revealed at the latest Game Awards wasExodus, developed by Archetype Entertainment. This AAA title has Oscar-winning actor Matthew McConaughey as its protagonist.
The idea of this space adventure is to make it through time and the galaxy to find weapons and technology to face the alien threat known as the Celestials. The studio said that in this journey, you will encounter a lot of alien species to interact with, as well as animals known as The Awakened because they can talk and communicate.
Exodus is an Adventure That Will Go Beyond Time
The main goal ofExodusis to become The Traveler, a space explorer who will go to the edge of the galaxy to find new technology that can help humanity thrive after living on a dying Earth in a hurry. The player will encounter Celestials technology, which helps make space jumps real, but all of this comes with a great cost: time. Once you make one of these leaps, only a few days will pass for you, while others will be hundreds of years.

Time dilation will not be the only feature of the game; it will also have Oscar-winner Matthew McConaughey as one of the protagonists. The idea is to explore and learn about a lot of new alien species, which will help you create a new utopia for mankind. During these journeys, you will encounter a species of exotic animals known as The Awakened, who possess the ability to communicate with their human companions.

In a new developer Q&A, the studio behind the game, Archetype Entertainment, has revealed a ton of new information. McConaughey will play a significant role in the entire adventure, including a unique twist that is sure to impress the player. As time passes in the game, you will encounter many new characters that will not always be the same in every adventure, so this makes the offer more interesting.

Exoduswill make the player really think about their next move, especially having time as a factor, because once you make the jump through the space, you cannot go back, so all that you know will be lost. The essence of this new IP is to make the player think not as one individual but as a whole species that wants to survive oblivion, and for that, you will have to make sacrifices that can cost you everything.
At the moment, this title has no release date, but it will be released for PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC. The studio behind the game is making a lot of revelations to ease the player into this new IP. The team is really working on a very complicated narrative that will amaze the players. The game has a lot of potential to be a different proposal, but the gameplay has not been revealed yet, so it is very hard to say anything else.
