Battlewake,a VR pirate game fromCreed: Rise to GloryandWestworld Awakeningdeveloper Survios, has been on DualShockers' radar since it wasannounced back in May. We even tried out the game during E3 andcame away impressed.Today, DualShockers is debuting two brand new pieces of music from composed by Jeremy Nathan Tisser -“Battlewake: The Boatman’s Call"and “War at Urth’s End”- and they are both bangers if you ask me.

Jeremy Nathan Tisser, the composer behind these two pieces ofBattlewakemusic, has been making a name for himself over the past couple of years by composing the soundtracks for VR games likeRaw Data, Tricklab, Wild Skies, andZombie on the Holodeck. He explained to DualShockers why “Battlewake: The Boatman’s Call” and “War at Urth’s End” were some of his favorite tracks to compose yet. “‘Battlewake: The Boatman’s Call’and’War at Urth’s End’are two of my favorite pieces of music I’ve ever written for a game. They combine my two loves, metal and orchestra, to give a completely unique spin on the pirate genre. This is just a taste of the wide variety of musical stylings you’ll hear inBattlewake. Hope everyone enjoys!”

For those who may not be as familiar with this VR game, it allows players to partake in a variety of PvP and PvE missions with pirate lords that have unique special abilities, ultimate attacks, and ships. While one might think a VR game on a ship would make players motion sick, this game is innovating with an “immersive vehicle system” that allows players to control their ship without feeling seasick. The gameplay below will give you a better idea of what to expect.Battlewakewill finally release for Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and PlayStation VR on August 02, 2025.
