Giancarlo Esposito has wowed fans with his portrayal of Stan Edgar inThe Boys. Not only are audiences keenly interested in what the actor has to offer, but they are also very intrigued by the character of Edgar. While others cower before Homelnader, Esposito’s Stan Edgar not only puts up with Homelander but also manages to put him in his place.

However, the actor generally has played some menacing roles that would put characters like Homelander to shame. While there are characters like Antón Castillo and Stan Edgar who have the guts to stand up to Homelander, there is one character the actor has portrayed who could put Homelander to shame as a villain.

While the character had a small role to play in Season 4, Stan Edgar might be siding with the good guys after all. This could mean thatThe BoysSeason 5 could featureGiancarlo Espositomore heavily, perhaps making a joke about Bob Iger being replaced at Disney but having to come back to take the reigns of the company back from his protege to stabilize the company. Giancarlo would play the character to perfection, and be totally on brand for The Boys.
While his character does not survive to see the end in the source material, it might be the way to go given that killing him off holds no advantage for Homelander or The Boys, but in actuality could work towards a good resolution.
