Martin Lawrence and Eddie Murphy are two of the most popular Black comedians in Hollywood and opened many doors for subsequent generations of comedians from the community to enter the industry. While they started their career in stand-up, they transitioned to the movies and TV and hit it big.
Lawrence and Murphy reportedly starred together in two films. Their first appearance together was in Murphy’s classic comedyBoomerang, which was released in 1992. Murphy had mentioned that they had just had a short verbal agreement to the relationship and did not speak any further about it with each other.
