One of the most successful video game anime adaptations by Netflix,Arcanehas yet again proved itself with its second season. Divided into three different acts for better pacing and understanding of characters,Arcane’sseason 2 brought some great twists and turns that helped the series once again make a name for itself in the anime world.

While the second season brings a new perspective to the central storyline with some unique battle scenes and enticing plot twists, it also marks the end of the series for the most part. While there is a chance that the creators may yet again explore the League of Legends universe, it is possible that the major characters fromArcanemight not be a part of that particular storyline.
This has given fans a chance to take a deep understanding of the recently endedArcaneuniverse and find out who was the hero of the entire series. While some fans may crown this title to the protagonist, Vi (voiced by Hailee Steinfeld) others might sympathize with Jinx(voiced by Ella Purnell) and the heartbroken struggle she had to go through in her life. However, it looks like the one character that fans believe to be the true hero of theArcanestoryline is Ekko.

The Real Hero ofArcane
Recently, YouTuberFlowchartKenconducted a poll regarding the real hero ofArcanewhich contained Vi, Jinx, Ekko, and Jayce. While Jinx got 12% votes, and Jayce got 7% votes, Vi was struggling at the last place with only 2% votes. However, the poll was won by none other than Ekko, the most active member of the Firelights group inArcane.

When Ekko was first introduced inArcane,he was a sweet and innocent kid who had a knack for technology with a genius-level intellect. He worked for Benzo but when he was killed Ekko had to fend for himself along with the firelights. In Season 1, Ekko had a sad ending as he sacrificed himself and almost got killed at the hands of his childhood friend, Jinx.
However, season 2 offers a new twistto his character that no one expected. Not only that, it also brings a big change into the relationship of Jinx and Ekko making it one of the enticing storylines of the conclusion. Thus, in a way, Ekko really becomes the actual hero ofArcane.

ArcaneFans Defend Ekko’s Status As A Hero
The complexity of almost every character storyline inArcanemakes it difficult for fans to understand who is the actual hero of the series. Every major character, be it Vi or Jinx or even Jayce, contributed majorly to the story, and in some perspectives, they might be the savior of the story, but fans still voted for Ekko, as he feels more righteous than anyone else.
Thus, when the result of this poll was shared on X, it got a mixed reaction from the same fans who voted for their favorite character to be the hero ofArcane.

While some fans were happy that Ekko got the love and appreciation that he deserved, others were disappointed, especially by the fact that Vi only got 2% of the votes.
But that is right tho, Vi was never a hero, she is a protector, and i love my girl for It. Ekko IS the boy savior in the end of The day

ekko winning is fr true but damn….
Ekko all the way ♥

Ekko my beloved never stop being the best
Irrespective of the voting,Arcaneoffers an enticing storyline, and almost every character is crucial in the story. These characters helped the series become one of the most successful anime adaptations on Netflix and hopefullyopened the door for many othernarratives.
