Elden Ring Nightreignhas been out for less than 24 hours, and it’s already polarizing players, but there will be a fix for one of its biggest issues coming soon.
It’s safe to say that the response to the multiplayer-focused Elden Ring Nightreignhas been mixed, not just from players, but from critics as well.

While the game is primarily designed for three-player co-op, it can also be played solo, but the single-player mode has drawnheavy criticism for being excessively difficult.
However, the official Elden Ring X account has made apostteasing the next update, version 1.02, that may alleviate some of the problems with the single-player mode.

Single-Player Improvements Coming Soon
FromSoftware didn’t share much about the upcoming update, other than that it will include “several bug fixes” and “improvements for solo expeditions.”
As for what exact improvements players can expect to see, one will be the addition of an “Automatic Revival Upon Defeat” feature, allowing a single revival for solo players during night boss battles, which is normally not possible while playing alone; generally you needone of your allies to attack you while you’re downto get you back on your feet.

Players embarking on solo expeditions will also earn more runes than usual.Patch 1.02 will be launching next week, and more details will be made public closer to release.
Elden Ring Nightreign Reveals Balancing Patch After Middling Reviews
Elden Ring Nightreign has received its first patch ahead of the game’s official launch, which will hopefully address critics' issues with the game.
Still, though, even with the lukewarm reception and polarized reviews, the game has still been incredibly successful, hitting a peak of 313,593 players on Steam alone (viaSteamDB) within two hours of being available.

That wasn’t all, though, and FromSoftware hasannouncedthat the game has already surpassed the 2 million sales milestone in under 24 hours since release.
Clearly theElden Ringpedigree is strong enough that even Nightreign’s issues and mixed reviews can’t slow down its sales, and its peak player count will most likely be destroyed over the weekend.

Modders have also already gotten to work on the game, with one in particulardoing what the game’s developers “overlooked”and adding a two-player mode, before the game is even a day old.
