Players can complete the Oldest Gaol in Elden Ring Nightreign by defeating specific bosses at Evergaols. There arethree bosses that are considered the “Oldest Gaol,“and their spawn rate is very low. Just a heads-up, these bosses are much tougher than the standard Evergaol enemies.
The three bosses that need to spawn at an Evergaol areDeathrite Bird, Godskin Duo,or the Ancient Dragon.If you open an Evergaol and one of these bosses appears, then you have started the event for the trophy. Remember,you only need to beat one of them.
You need a Stonesword Key to open Evergaols.
As previously stated, the spawn rate for these bosses is extremely low, and it took me close to 50 expeditions for one to appear. That is saying a lot considering I make sure toopen a couple of Evergaols every expedition.

There are a few places to get Stonesword Keys in Elden Ring Nightreign. The most common way to find Stonesword Keys is bylooting chests, although it’s not a guaranteed drop. Additionally, players canpurchase Stonesword Keys from merchants.
However, there is one guaranteed way to get aStonesword Keyand that is throughspecific Relics.

There’s a rareGrand Burning Scene Relicthatgrants the player a Stonesword Key at the start of every expedition. This means, no matter what, you’ll have a Stonesword Key to use immediately on an Evergaol. ThisRelic fits into a red slot.
If you manage to get this Grand Burning Scene relic, then you’re all set to start farming Evergaols. Load into a match, check an Evergaol to see if one of the required bosses spawns, and defeat it if it does. If it doesn’t spawn, exit the expedition and try again.
The Oldest Gaol Rewards
Defeating one of the bosses at the Oldest Gaol will earn you the"The Oldest Gaol” trophyas well as twolegendary upgradesto choose from. The Evergaol’s location will also spawn a Site of Grace, so players can level up, replenish health, and recover Flasks.
One of the upgrades at the Oldest Gaol is to gain30,000 Runes, while the other one is completely random. The second upgrade can range anywhere from increasing Rune acquisition, to increasing maximum HP or Stamina, and much more.
I personally recommend always choosing to gain 30,000 Runes. Depending on what level you encounter the Oldest Gaol at, having that many more Runes in your possession can instantlyincrease your character’s level.
