EA’s Full Circle team has been hard at work on the next installment in theSkatefranchisefor several years. Now, it has been announced that themuch anticipated game will be launching in early access in 2025.

EA Starts a New Studio That Will Focus on the Next Skate Title

Skate is getting its very own studio. Today, EA announced Full Circle which will be heading up development on the upcoming title.

Stylized asskate,Full Circle announced back in 2022that it would be “a free-to-play live service game.” This will allow gamers and skaters of all budget ranges to hop right in and enjoy a skate sessionwith their buddies.

While still speculative, most of the game’s money should be made off of cosmetics, andthe developers have promised no implementation of pay-to-win gameplay mechanics.

Hype around this game has been high, only ramping up since the 2020. Back in mid-2023, aRedditor uploaded a collection of concept art and images which pointed to in-game skins.

The art style was definitely quite different to pastSkategames, but refreshing nonetheless.

EA has finally unveiled their plans for the next Battlefield title, which will stick to the fundamentals of the series.

Skate Ollies Into Early Access In 2025

Today, in a quick video uploaded to social media,the team behindSkateannounced that the game will be going into early access in 2025. Thistypically means is that a full release isn’t far off on the horizon.

According to EA:

“Over the last two years, the team has welcomed tens of thousands of individual playtesters into the city of San Vansterdam via the PC version, with console playtesting set to come in the Fall of 2024.”

Beyond PC, Skate.will be available on PlayStation and Xbox, and will support cross-play. Playtesting for these consoles will begin later this year, in the Fall.
