To begin with, there were a few really good films, such asHell or High WaterandSicario, to name a couple.With his blend of thriller, political satire, Western, and neo-noir elements, he occupies a distinct place among contemporary screenwriters and showrunners.
And now he is all set with yet another project that truly mirrors the type of niche that has made him famous. He has decided to proceed with an adaptation of an acclaimed book by S.C. Gwynne. This tale will focus on the fascinating clash between White settlers and the Comanche tribe, causing audiences to believe that Sheridan has, in fact, found his “niche”.

We learned fromDeadlinethat Taylor Sheridan and his Bosque Ranch production company had entered into a bidding war for the rights toEmpire of the Summer Moon: Quanah Parker and the Rise and Fall of the Comanches, the Most Powerful Indian Tribe in American History, written by S.C. Gwynne.
More importantly, he will work with Jenny Wood as a producer in addition to directing and writing on this upcoming project. It is still unclear at this point whether this will be a television series or a feature film. The story recounts the events of the four-decade struggle for control of the American West between the Comanche tribe and White settlers.
For the unversed, the Comanche tribe and White settlers fought for four decades to rule the American West, and Quanah Parker was frequently regarded as the tribe’s greatest chief. Gwynne’s book provides a detailed account of this conflict.
Sheridan has the utmost respect for Quanah Parker.Among the items acquired by theSicariowriter was Parker’s lance, which is currently kept in a nearby museum.The author of the book shared:
