Akira Toriyama’s last project,Dragon Ball DAIMA, has recently released its first episode on Crunchyroll, and fans could have asked for nothing more. The series is a nostalgic reminder of all the old concepts of the franchise that were used in the firstDragon Ballseries. From the Demon Realm to small Goku, the series brings out some of the greatestDragon Ballelements.
One of the old concepts that is being used inDragon Ball DAIMAhas also made a connection with the currently popular action-adventure role-playing game by Game Science,Black Myth: Wukong. As fans already know, bothBlack Myth: Wukongand the central storyline ofDragon Ballwere inspired by the same classical Chinese novelJourney to the West.
However, no one anticipated that the latestDragon Ball DAIMAseries would also have a parallel withBlack Myth: Wukong.This parallel is the iconic power pole of Goku, which is also known as Ruyi Jingu Bang in the video game.

It is the magical black iron staff of Sun Wukong and the original inspiration behind the power pole and its magical abilities.
The Ruyi Jingu Bang is one of the most important sources of Sun Wukong’s fighting abilities. It can extend to a long range and change its size according to Wukong’s will. It is indestructible and can hold itself against some of the strongest weapons and enemies in the game.
