Dragon BallGames Battle Hour 2024 recently hosted an event that featured a special panel for the upcomingDragon Ball: Daimaseries that not only introduced the fans to a new trailer for the series but also brought with it some inside information fromDragon Ballproducer Akio Iyoku.
Iyoku discussed many things about the upcomingDragon Ballseries and also some illustrations drawn by Akira Toriyama, the mastermind behind the entireDragon Ballfranchise. These illustrations were the actual original design of the smallDragon Ballcharacters that will be the main focus ofDragon Ball Daima.
Along with the trailer and the illustrations, Iyoku discussed about the latest look of the protagonist Goku, who became smaller in the series. He explains how it is a fresh look at the character for the fans who have not yet seen Goku’s childhood or his smaller version inDragon Ball GT. This has increased the excitement for the upcomingDragon Ballseries which is scheduled to release during the fall of 2024.
New Trailer forDragon Ball DaimaReleased
At theDragon Ball Daimapanel during theDragon BallGames Battle Hour 2024 event, a brand-new, never-before-seen trailer featuring young Goku facing off against unfamiliar foes, getting into mischief, and consuming more food was unveiled for the enjoyment ofDragon Ballfans.
During theDragon Ball Daimapanel, the trailer was unveiled byAkio Iyoku, the executive producer ofDragon Ball, and it features a young Goku battling a bunch of monsters. The trailer video is more of a brief look at the character in various situations than it is a narrative. After the trailer, artwork depicting the characters as children was displayed.
These included Goku, Krillin, Mr. Satan, Android 18, Chi-Chi, and Majin Buu. TheDragon Ballpanel surely shed light on a lot of new information about the upcoming series, but most of all, it explained about the new look of Goku in the series.
Akio Iyoku Talks About Goku’s Latest Look
During theDragon BallGames Battle Hour 2024event, which was later shared on YouTube,Dragon Ball’sproducer Iyoku talked about Goku as a character and his new look in the series.
“So in this trailer, Goku is moving around so much isn’t he so we wanted you to be more familiar with Goku before we released the actual story.”
He further stated:
“I hope that the fans who have not yet seen the story of Goku’s childhood when will enjoy it as a fresh take on Goku’s appeal.”
According to Iyoku, the people who have not seen Goku as a small character during his childhood will get a fresh take on Goku’s new appeal and they will hopefully enjoy it. While there is not much revealed about the plotline or the story of the series, fans surely got to know a lot about the series in general.
The series has a new type of animation and according to various reports, it will be canon to the original story of theDragon Ballfranchise. While the release date is not yet confirmed, it is set to be released during the fall of 2024.
