Elden Ringis one of the most loved and celebrated titles from 2022. The title was developed by FromSoftware and Published Globally by Bandai Namco. The title took the Souls-Borne formula created and perfected by FromSoftware and applied it to an open-world title. The title was also vastly different from other titles released by FromSoftware.
It had various approaches one could take, various means and strategies to gain success, and other elements to make the game more accessible to players. Elements like the Torrent (the player’s mount), which could be used to flee a losing fight, are one of them. Now, as the launch of the expansion for the titleShadow Of Erdtreeis imminent, there are rumors of a sequel.

Elden Ringis a title with a very in-depth and rich lore and for fans to understand it and other details relevant to the backdrop of the title and its premise, there were books published by the creators. These are called“Books of Knowledge”.
Besides providing enough information about the game’s lore and details about the game’s narrative, the books also serve as a strategy guide. The second book in the collection is titled: “Shards of the Shattering” and serves as a handbook for the player helping them to understand the various creatures in the game’s world. It also mentions how players can arm themselves to stay one step ahead and traverse the game’s world without feeling threatened.

The book of Knowledge also has an interview withElden Ring’s Director, Hidetaka Miyazaki. Now, the rumor was teased on Elden Ring’s official subreddit. This was done as a post made on the subreddit r/GamingLeaksAndRumors. The body of the post redirects the reader to a particular comment onthis post, published on theElden Ringsubreddit.
The author of the post made a comment regarding the interview featured in the guide and this is what they said:
Now, what is interesting to note is that the interview, despite covering things on a superficial level, states that the round table hold is essential. For those unaware, Roundtable Hold is a location in Elden Ring. The location is reached after a companion in the title guides the player to it and is a location that can be accessed using the game’s fast travel mechanism.
Now, the fact that the roundtable holds a place where the tarnished individuals banished from the Lands Between gather is essential is undoubtedly intriguing. Something that adds to the intrigue that some lore bits are reserved for future games.
But, this was also further clarified by another comment that was posted as a reply to the thread spearheaded by the comment posted by the post’s original author. The official excerpt from the interview states this:
As for the reason behind the Roundtable Hold’s existence, while there is lore that answers this question, it’s something we decided not to touch upon in this game, so I won’t be revealing it here either. However, it’s safe to say that the Two Fingers play a key role.
It is clear that no future games were mentioned, but the game’s director just explained that no information regarding the the Roundtable Hold’s existence will be provided in the title. It is unclear whetherShadow of Erdtreewill offer some clarification of the place’s existence. The expansion is still not announced officially and could even be a few years away. That could mean an expansion; the cards will be further away, even if it is one.
Regardless, it is undoubtedly exciting as this means that some essential questions will likely be answered in the game’s upcoming expansionShadow of the Erdtree. However, if they aren’t answered, it is beneficial in the long run as that would theoretically confirm the studio’s plans for a sequel.
