As reported byWindows Central, sources have confirmed thatDiablo 4will get an official release date next month during The Game Awards 2022 ceremony. The source claims that the game will be released someday in April 2023.
As one of the biggestActivision-Blizzardlaunches for 2023, we did know that Diablo 4 will come out next year, but recently, both Windows Central andXboxErasources have confirmed that the game has been slated for an April 2023 launch. According to the sources, we can expect a release date trailer from Diablo 4 during this year’s The Game Awards showcase, after which the pre-orders will begin on digital markets. The report claims that there would be a few different digital editions for Diablo 4 as well as a physical collector’s edition in limited numbers for those who want something special from the game’s world on their gaming shelf.

As the source reveals, one of the pre-order bonuses for Diablo 4 is access to an early build of the game for a limited time in February 2023. It’s yet to be known whether this beta session will be exclusive to pre-order submitters or if they will only receive early access to it.
The latest official trailer for Diablo 4 was shared back in June 2022 during theMicrosoftandBethesdashowcase, where Blizzard revealed more about the endgame content and announced a new character class. While nothing official was shared since then, multiple clips leaked from a work-in-progress build of the game, showcasing some gameplay and spoiling minor story details. In addition to this, the Diablo 4 closed beta also went live a few weeks earlier, but the participants were under NDA to not share any screenshots or gameplay footage.
Despite the ongoing acquisition of Activision-Blizzard by Microsoft, Diablo 4 will still release on PlayStation consoles. Regarding the fact that the deal is not expected to finalize by April 2023, Diablo 4 will likely skip a day-one launch on Game Pass, but we can expect it to arrive at the service once the deal goes through. Of course, with the recent investigations by EU and UK regulators, there are doubts about the future of this deal for now.
