Ana Bray is aGuardian, researcher, and archivistin the latest entry ofBungie’s hit MMO FPS seriesDestiny 2. One of the few Guardians to have some understanding and record of her previous life before her reincarnation into a Guardian, Ana dedicates herself to the fight against the Darkness and the recruitment of new allies to aid humanity.

With unrelenting foes attacking from all angles, the Guardians are ever in need of new tactics, resources, and allies. Ana Bray knows of one such ally, someone from a past life that can help turn the tide ever more in humanity’s favor. This is what we know about Guardian Ana Bray.
Ana Bray’s Origin As A Guardian
Ana Bray first appeared in Destiny 2, with her story expanding onward in future events and expansions, detailing her actions in the larger scope of the Destiny universe.Ana is one of a select few Guardians to know about their past life before being rebornin the modern age as a Guardian. Having been reborn in her former place of work, ID card still on her person, Ana was able to trace back her previous life during the Collapse when the Darkness first arrived to decimate humanity. She had previously worked as a scientist andlinguistic specialistinvolved in the development ofWarmind AI, artificial intelligence systems meant to monitor threats to humanity’s empire and use a vast array of connected weapons systems to destroy them as needed. One of these powerful Warmind AI systems wasRasputin, who is one of the few remaining Warmind AI that has survived centuries of constant conflict.

Realizing that her prior life’s major achievement was still functional, Ana Bray realized that having Rasputin openly joining the fight against the Darkness and emerging from hiding could be a turning point for humanity’s fight for survival. This led to her going off the radar from her fellow Guardians following the Battle of the Twilight Gap, with the idea of her possible death working as additional cover to her movements asshe worked to track down Rasputin and meet with him face-to-face.
Finding & Confronting Rasputin
Ana Bray eventually worked her way to Rasputin’s core facility on Mars, in the Hellas Basin. Realizing the Hive forces were present in and around Rasputin’s facility, Ana would work alongside the player character’s Guardian and Commander Zavala to drive the Hive away from Rasputin and protect his central housing. Around the same time,the long-lived Warlock Osiriswas also hoping to confront Rasputin and utilize his weapons networksin defense of the Last City.

The efforts of Osiris, Ana, and players' Guardian pay off, asRasputin emerges from hiding and works to reactivate his weapon systems, re-dedicating his function towards the protection of the human race. His return would be short-lived, as the arrival of pyramid ships over Mars proved too much for Rasputin’s defense networks, and he was seemingly destroyed alongside most his remaining weapon systems. Ana Bray would thankfully recover part of his mind from the wreckage, stabilizing it andpromising Rasputin she would rebuild him. With the potential to rebuild Rasputin into a new style Warmind or implement him into an Exo humanoid body, Ana keeps Rasputin within the Last City to safeguard his mind as she works to find him a new future.
Ana Bray maintainsan upbeat and hopeful demeanorin the world she finds herself in, something that many others struggle or fail to keep up under the pressures of the Darkness and humanity’s enemies baring down on all sides. Her ambition to learn more about her past life and anything about Rasputin’s construction, and now his rebuilding, are her primary personal concerns, goals that keep her moving forward against the seemingly impossible odds humanity finds itself facing as the years drag onward. As long as she lives,Ana Bray is determined to cement her past while guaranteeing humanity a prosperous futureworthy of mankind’s ability and resolve.
