Arbalest is one of the strongest PvE weapons inDestiny 2with a passive perk that allows it to penetrate shields andalways be an Anti-Barrier weaponregardless of the seasonal mods. Aside from that, the fact that Arbalest is aKinetic weaponcould make your loadout much more flexible.

Prior toDestiny 2’s Lightfall expansion, the only way to get Arbalest was through Ritual playlists such as Crucible, Vanguard, and Gambit, butBungierecently added a brand-new Exotic quest to the game that drops Arbalest as a final reward.
Where To Start Arbalest’s Exotic Quest
First, you need to own the Lightfall expansion to be able to acquire this quest. If you already own Lightfall, thenhead to the Cosmodromeand meetShaw Hanin the southern landing zone. In Shaw Han’s quest menu, you’re able to spot a new yellow-themed quest called “Another Last City.” If you can’t see it, make sure to switch to Shaw Han’s next page of activities, as it might be there instead. Once you acquire this quest, you will note that the final reward is Arbalest.
Complete Another Last City Exotic Quest
The quest features7 steps overall, with two of them asking you to meetBanshee-44, which leaves us with 5 steps at the core. One of the steps requires you to finish the quest “A Guardian Rises,” which is a 21-step quest on its own, but most players have already finished it as it is one of the earliest quest series that Destiny 2 players get to complete when they start a new playthrough. So, if you have already done this, Step 3 will be skipped.
The remaining four steps revolve around getting kills and completing public events inNeomuna. The final task requires you to get 150 kills either with a Fusion Rifle or a Linear Fusion Rifle. This last step could take a bit longer to complete, which is why you should use mods that increase the drop rate of Heavy Ammo as well as Special Ammo for your Fusion Rifles in the Power and Kinetic/Energy slots. Of course, you’re able to also try torestart some missions, where you begin with a fully charged loadout, but that could make it feel more like a chore than actually having fun with a game.

TheCatalystfor Arbalest can be obtained bycompleting Ritual activities, but you’ll need to be really lucky to get it quickly, so best to continue playing as normal; patience will win out in the end.
