Destiny 2Season of the Deep brought with it anew set of seasonal weapons. These Taken-themed weapons are one of their kind and feature some new and exciting perk options to go after. These weapons are also some of the coolest looking weapons in the game, being a taken re-skin on the old reckoning weapons.

There are six new weapons in total: Thin Precipice, A Distant Pull, Until Its Return, Rapacious Appetite, Targeted Redaction, and Different Times. All these weapons are craftable and feature the Unsated Hunger perk, which increases reload speed, handling, and stability when no abilities are charged.
6Thin Precipice
Thin Precipice is the first ever Strand Sword and belongs to the vertex frame. Swords, unfortunately, are not a popular pick currently — except for the Dares of Eternity Swords. They are severely underwhelming, especially in high-end content, but Bungie did confirm they will be receiving a rework in the future, making them more viable.
Thin Precipice can roll with some interesting perk combinations. Like in the left column, it can roll with Relentless Strikes and Tireless Blades with perks likeHatchling, Chain Reaction, Collective Action, and Golden Tricorn.

5A Distant Pull
A Distant Pull is a rapid-fire Stasis Sniper Rifle, and rapid-fire Sniper Rifles just got a major buff with the launch of the Season of the Deep. A Distant Pull has some nice synergy with the Stasis subclass thanks to the presence of the Headstone perk and has some general damage-dealing perks as well.
In the left column, it can roll with perks like Triple Tap and Overflow, and in the right column, perks like Explosive Payload, Focused Fury, and Collective Action. It also has some play for the Crucible, having perk combinations like Keep Away and Opening Shot.

4Until Its Return
Until Its Return is the first Strand Shotgun to release in Destiny 2 and belongs to the rapid-fire frame. Shotguns are a niche pick in Destiny 2 PvE but are an extremelystrong option in the Crucible. Until Its Return belonging in the rapid-fire frame, however, will see more play in PvE than in PvP.
Until Its Return can roll with some nice perks for both PvE and PvP. For PvE, in the left column, it has Auto-Loading Holster, Threat Detector, and Overflow. In the right column, every perk is great and can work incredibly well in PvE, especially Vorpal Weapon, Trench Barrel, and Collective Action. For PvP, in the left column, this gun has Threat Detector, Offhand Strike, and Steady Hand. The right column is, however, a bit lackluster for PvP, with Harmony and Collective Action being viable perks.

3Rapacious Appetite
Rapacious Appetite is a Stasis aggressive frame Submachine Gun that is a Taken re-skin of the old reckoning weapon, the Bug-out Bag. Aggressive frame submachine guns are the most popular weapon archetype in Destiny 2 in both PvE and PvP. Rapacious Appetite also brings a lot to the table, featuring some exciting perk combinations and an excellent stasis synergy.
For PvE, in the left column, Perpetual Motion is probably your best bet, but Fourth Time’s The Charm also has some play. In the right column, this weapon can roll with One for All, Headstone, Focused Fury, Target Lock, and Frenzy. The range stat is about to get a rework soon, and with this rework, the combination of Encore and Target Lock might be one to look out for PvP.

2Targeted Redaction
Targeted Redaction is a Void aggressive frame Hand Cannon that is a Taken re-skin of the popular hand cannon Spare Rations. Aggressive Frames are a good spot in the Crucible with any damage-dealing perk allowing you to two-tap Guardians with a TTK of 0.5s, and in PvE, they, unfortunately, are plagued by slow reload speed. This gun, however, has perks that make it a monster in both PvE and PvP.

For the Crucible, in the left column, Perfect Float or Well Rounded are the main appeal, but in the right column, we have the brand-new perk — Collective Action — which gives you a damage boost without even killing anyone. Unfortunately, Collective Action is difficult for Guardians to proc in Crucible — except for those wielding the Stasis subclass. Stasis shards are insanely easy to generate, and Collective Action benefits from it greatly. For PvE, you need Outlaw for quick reload, and you can pair that with Frenzy, Explosive Payload, Destabilizing Rounds, and Collective Action.
1Different Times
Different Times is a rapid-fire Strand Pulse Rifle being the first of its kind. Rapid-fire Pulse Rifles are the most desirable option for both PvE and PvP. In PvP, it has a lightning-fast time-to-kill value, and in PvE, the faster a gun shoots, the better it feels. Different Times is also stacked with some insane synergistic perks for both PvE and PvP.
For PvE, you have Outlaw, Stats for All, and Subsistence in the left column and perks like Hatchling, Golden Tricorn, Multikill Clip, and Collective Action in the right column. Whether you want a Strand weapon thatsynergizes with your subclassor a general damage-dealing gun, this has your back. For the Crucible, in the left column, this gun can roll with Moving Target and Heating Up; in the right column, it can roll with Head Seeker, Golden Tricorn, and Collective Action.
