Fans are in for an action-packed adventure as they attempt to uncover more about the Upper Rank 5 Demon and what makes him tick.

Gyokko’s Personality And Appearance Explored

In the Swordsmith Village Arc’s first episode, it became apparent thatDemons do not have amicable relationships with each other.Akaza, Kokushibo, and Doma appeared to have unresolved issues, particularly Akaza, while Doma and Kokushibo were vocal about their animosity towards the others. Nonetheless, Gyokku seemed to be uninvolved in this conflict and even exhibited friendly behavior, particularly towards Doma. The two even talked about a gift that Gyokko gave Doma, demonstrating his amiable disposition towards his fellow Demons.

However, he is not the same friendly being when it comes to his art. Gyokko’s passion for his art is unparalleled, and he can be fiercely possessive and resentful of anyone who dares to criticize it. Hisarrogance and sadistic tendenciesare on full display when he murders multiple individuals, stitches their bodies together, and does other heinous acts like mercilessly sticking swords into them while they scream in agony in the name of art. It’s evident that Gyokko is willing to go to any lengths to create the perfect piece of art, even if it means disregarding the sanctity of human life.

Gyokko past explored

Despite his grotesque and bloodthirsty nature, Gyokko’s obsession with his craft is almost admirable in a twisted way. He’s willing to push the boundaries of what’s acceptable to create something truly unique, a trait that sets him apart from the other Demons in the series. Gyokko’s unapologetic disregard for human life may make him appear callous and heartless, butin a world where Demons reign supreme, he’s simply playing by their rules.

Gyokko’s physical appearance is the stuff of nightmares. Compared to all the other Demons, he stands out as the most grotesque, with a body covered in scales and a pale white hue that gives him an otherworldly look. His upper torso is armless, resembling that of a statue rising from a pot, and multiple infant-like hands line his back. However, it’s Gyokko’s face that truly sets him apart. His eyes are displaced by a large green mouth with bare teeth, while his actual eyes are vertically aligned on his forehead and in the constantly open bottom mouth. It’s a visage that can haunt the dreams of the bravest of warriors.

Gyokko’s Past Explored

Gyokko’s past is just as disturbing as the rest of the Demons in the series. He was once a lonely child living on the outskirts of a fisherman’s village after his parents drowned, an incident he found fascinating and beautiful. However, his peculiar behavior of collecting fish carcasses and other odd activities led him to be disliked by others.

After being teased by a child, Gyokko lashed out and killed them by stuffing them in a jar. The child’s parents retaliated by stabbing him and leaving him for dead. It was then that he was approached by Muzan Kibutsuji and turned into the Demon Gyokko, becoming the Upper-Rank Five. His traumatic past and twisted mindset add depth to his character, just like the other Demons in the series.

Gyokko’s Powers And Abilities

As an Upper Rank Five Demon, Gyokko has formidable powers and abilities that surpass those of most Demons and swordsmen. His techniques include flesh manipulation, durability, regeneration, speed, and reflexes, allowing him to effortlessly overpower his opponents. After he transforms into his true form, his abilities are further amplified, making him even more formidable in close-range combat. Additionally, he has unlimited stamina and endurance, and his Blood Demon Art is centered around porcelain vases, which he can spawn anywhere in his vicinity for teleportation, trapping objects, and creating various entities inside them.

Using his Blood Demon Art, Gyokko summons aquatic lifeforms from his pots that resemble giant fish with unique traits such as sharp claws, multiple humanoid legs, and monstrous teeth. These fish-like creatures are practically indestructible and can only be killed by destroying the pots on their back.
