Apart from the main story,Dead Island 2offers plenty of side content to keep gamers engaged and entertained. This includes variousside questsoffered by NPCs in the game. Completing these side quests often rewards players withpowerful weapons andweapon mods, both of which arecrucialif you are looking to cause massive mayhem when facing zombie herds.

Furthermore, completing these activities allows players to progress through theNPCs’storylines,unlocking more quests and rewards. This guide focuses on theside quest Organ Donor, given to you by Trent, who asks you to retrieve a specific organ from a zombie.
Picking Up The Quest
To pick up the quest, visit Trent at Venice Beach. Refer to the image above to easily locate him on your map. He is also in the samefast-travel restaurant. Speak with Trent to learn about somezombie gunkheencounteredwhile cleaning the place. He also suggests thatmuscular zombies like the Crushersare gunk mines and asks you to track them down and eliminate them for some gunk.
As you complete your conversation with Trent, theOrgan Donor side questwill be added to yourquest log, along with two newobjectives. The objectives are to seek out someCrushers at a nearby strongman competition siteand find somegross zombies near the sewage outflowfor gross zombie parts. You can complete these objectives in any order you please, but it is recommended tofirst visit the strongman competition siteas it is closest to Trent.

Finding Roid-Soaked Zombies
Thestrongman competition sitecan be found slightly to the northwest of the Venicefast travel point. You can refer to the image above to help you locate the site more easily. Once you reach the area, watch for acrusher near some barrels. However, these barrels are non-explosive, so you’ll need to rely on yourweapons to take out three Crushersin total. Once you’vedefeated the last Crusher, make sure to pick up the “oversized arm bones” dropped by the Crusher.
Finding Gross Zombies
To find gross zombies, head to the Venice sewers using the image above as a reference. Keep an eye out forburster-type zombies, who will attack you as soon as you approach the sewers. Keep your distance when engaging with these zombies and be mindful ofburster trapsthat are hidden around the corners. Proceed slowly and cross thegrated gate, then look for adoor to your rightto enter the sewers. You’ll see that the path ahead is blocked by fire, soturn the crank on the pipesto put it out. While doing so, azombie will approach you- take it out and continue moving forward.
Once you’re in the sewers,turn left and keep going straightwhile watching out for any buster traps. At the end of the tunnel, you’ll encounter a lone buster zombie. Take it out andpick up the blast glandsto complete the objective.

Completing The Quest
To complete the quest, return to Trent and inform him that you’ve successfully taken out the zombies and collected the requested gunk. Trent will commend you on your success, marking the end of your quest. Although there aren’t any weapons or weapon mods awarded for completing this quest, you’ll receive a new fabrication item - the blast gland and 4,000 XP for your efforts.
Blast glands are incredibly rare items in Dead Island 2, and they are dropped by defeating bursters. When combined with chemicals, they can create powerful explosives that can scatter zombie herds in all directions. So make sure to use them wisely!
