Entering Bel-Air during your zombie slaughtering campaign, you may notice an abandoned mail truck with a locked trunk. The contents of this trunk can be yours for the taking, butDead Island 2will make you wait just a little bit before you’re ready to start this side quest.

First, you’ll need to check a few boxes to get the quest to spawn, after which you’ll just have to carefully read some notes and figure out your way around Bel-Air.
Starting The Quest
As stated above, you can walk right by this locked chest and you won’t be able to do anything about it. You will see it says you need the itemMailman’s Key, but that’s all the info you get at the start. What might be confusing too is there’s a cable truck not too far from here also locked, but that’s not a quest, it’s just being held by a random electric zombie.The important part is that there are two triggers you need to dobefore you can start My Mailman Was A Zombie:
Since the Slobber is story-related, you will do that with no problem. As for #Clickbait, this shouldn’t be much of a concern either. Also, this should be the only side quest needed, but you may want to be safe and also completeThe Death Of The Partyjust to be sure.
This side quest is given byAmanda who lives in the GOAT Pen of Bel-Air. You may even accidentally trigger the start of her quest as you come back here after story quests,it’s the big explosion on the roof.Talk with her, and she’ll ask you to help creatively kill a bunch of zombies for a video, you won’t have to do anything else as it’s just a few phases of fights with specific kill goals.
The moment you finish these two needed tasks, a piece of paper namedSignature Requiredwill spawn at the mail truck, so you’re able to finally start.
Reading The Note
Open your quest log and look for the inspect option, and you can then further open the journal entry up to read the 3 addresses you need to check.In this Journal entry, you’ll find out Wayne’s stressed from his work already but isn’t calling it quits until he’s delivered 3 more packages. You also learn the contents of the locked chest;a powerful and unique firearm.My Mailman Was A Zombie is an early Lost & Found Mission, one of the earliest along withClean & Snatchin Beverly Hills. Wayne has the key on him, and your chosen protagonist will decide to track him down to snatch it off of his likely Zombified body.You don’t leave Bel-Air for this, but some will be a bit tricky.

Finding 59 Alpine Drive
This address is why Amanda and her side quest had to be dealt with first, this was the GOAT Pen house she was filming on the roof of. You should know the way by now after how many times you’ve been here, so just look for this exact spot on the map and then the front door. Wayne already did his job and delivered these packages,but you have to interact with the package for it to count.Your selected character will comment on the mail, which is your check.
Finding 143 Glitterati Corner
Out of context, this will seem funny,but you want to go to Curtis’s shoulder on the map.His headshot is directly over the house, despite the fact he is not the occupant.If you want a waypoint to help you, there’s a fuse to deliver to a fusebox here, so you can place a waypoint on that.With two locations checked, you are now only 1 location away from finding Wayne.
Finding 70 Alpine Drive
Despite also being on Alpine Drive, this final location is much further away from the GOAT Pen than Glitterati Corner. It’s just around the block if you care to go the long way. You’ll already have Emma’s Mansion as a safe house by this point, so you should just start there andgo out the back gate by jumping on this dumpster and then the locked gate.The needed house is right across the street.If you were going directly from Glitterani Corner, you just had to turn around from the package and run further up the road, jumping over an ambulance on your way
As you can see, Wayne was turned into a Slobber Zombie.Slobbers are dangerous from afar, but if you can get up close with a quick melee weapon and run around them as you slice, they are typically unable to counterattack you.Kill Wayne, and he will drop the typical loot for Apex Zombies, as well as hiskeys.
Find the keys in the loot pile, then head back to the mail truck where this quest started.
Reward For Completion
The gun in question is aRare Sporting Rifle named Raven.Like other reward weapons, her perk is unique,it’s an advanced targeting scope with higher precision.Give her a few mods, and any Zombie in your sights is good as dead. Remember to keep her leveled with you at workbenches if you pick her up early, and she’ll carry you through to the end.
