Dead Island 2is a thrilling game with hilarious zombies, satisfying executions, and numerouslocked roomscontainingtempting loot. You’ll come across one of these locked rooms early on in the game in the Goat Pen mansion located in the Bel-Air region. This vast mansion was previously owned by social media influencers but is nowinfested with zombies. The mansion containsmultiple locked roomsthat require specific master keys to unlock. When exploring the area early in the game, you may encounter a locked double door that requires theGoat Pen Master Keys.

There are several ways to acquire these keys, including completing aside questlater in the game. However, it is advisable to unlock these doors early in the game as they containvaluable collectiblesandweapon blueprintsthat are crucial to upgrading your weapons. Moreover, unlocking the doors will provide you withgreater freedom to move around the mansion.
Goat Pen Master Key Location
If you’re looking to get your hands on the Goat Pen Master Keys early on in Dead Island 2, there are a few ways to do so. The first method is tied to a quest that you receive later in the game, so let’s focus on theother way to obtain the keys.
Head to the Goat Pen mansion and look for a double door that requires the Goat Pen Master Keys to open. Turn right and go up to the small pool area. From there, you can eitherthrow a melee weaponorshoot out the glass paneland jump across the gap into the master bedroom. Be careful not to take fall damage, as it can be lethal in this game. However, there are alsotwo other ways to enter the bedroom. You can head to themansion’s roofand drop through the open skylight hatch or onto the pool-side balcony.
If you choose to drop onto the balcony, you’ll need to break the glass panel, which will trigger an alarm and attract nearby zombies. Once you’ve dealt with the zombies, search the bedside table in the master bedroom to find the Goat Pen Master Keys.
Don’t leave the room just yet, as there’s more to explore. Check out the adjacentstreamer room to find a collectible,Weighted Weapon blueprint, and theGoat Pen Master Keycard, which you’ll need for another quest.
With the Goat Pen Master Keys in your possession, you’ll be able tomove freely across the entire mansionwithout being blocked by the annoying locked doors.

Creature Comforts Mission
Later in the game, you’ll receive a side quest called “Creature Comforts” fromCurtis Sinclair, a character that you’ll be introduced to early in the game. Curtis will task you with finding his cigars and fancy vintage wine that he previously gifted to the mansion owners.
The wine is in the cellar, conveniently locked behind the glass panels. You can choose to smash the glass panels and gain access to the wine, but you’ll be alerting all the nearby zombies. And, since it’s the keys you’re looking for, you want to turn around and go to the pool area. From there, take left and keep going until you reach the parking zone. Follow the path to find the “Goat Pen” logo on the outer wall, indicating the direction to where you’re supposed to go. Alternatively, you can also take the staircase that leads downstairs to the games room and find the bowling zone from there.
Enter the Goat Pen and turn right to find the bowling area across the snooker zone. Go to the bowling area to find a particular zombie named “Goat Pen Jamie”. As you begin fighting Goat Pen Jamie, beware of the nearby zombies that will swarm to your location.
Taking out the zombie will drop the Goat Pen Master Keys. Collect the master keys and return to the wine cellar to continue your side quest.
You can alsofast-travelto this location and easily find Goat Pen Jamie wandering about the bowling zone. Additionally, if you’re playing the game inco-op mode, you will have the Goat Pen Master Keys added to your inventory even if one of you picks them up. So, if you don’t find the keys anywhere in the master bedroom or on Goat Pen Jamie, consider checking your inventory.
