The game proved to be super successful, as Bohemia even made an announcement onX(formerly Twitter) about it, stating, “DayZ has been claimed by 1.3 million new players through PlayStation Plus monthly games. On Day 1 alone, over 300,000 freshies arrived in Chernarus and Livonia.”
With the large influx of new players, this meant that servers were impacted, which Bohemia acknowledged, “To those who experienced server issues last night, we sincerely apologize. We deployed 300+ new servers in preparation, but they were at capacity. More servers are rolling out soon to accommodate the influx and smooth out your survival experience.”
