The sequel to the critically acclaimed roguelikeDarkest Dungeon, from Red Hook Studios, is arriving on PC soon. After over a year of active development in the Early Access phase,Darkest Dungeon 2will be available on both Epic Games Store and Steam as a full game on May 8. The release time has been set for 8 am PT/11 am ET/3 pm UTC/5 pm CET. For Eastern Asian and Oceanian players, the release time corresponds to 12 am JST/1 am AEST on May 9.

At the moment, you can purchase the Early Access version of Darkest Dungeon 2 on Epic Games Store for $29.99, but the price will increase by an unknown amount once the full version has arrived. Unfortunately, there is no such option on Steam, which means it will only be available for purchase after the official release.

The full version of the game will feature a five-act, story-driven campaign with 12 playable characters to include in your squad. Red Hook Studios has promised that it will support Darkest Dungeon 2 with post-launch content and updates similar to its predecessor. The developers are also working on enabling official modding tools for Darkest Dungeon 2.

If you already own the Early Access version of Darkest Dungeon 2 on Epic Games Store, you will receive a new update on May 8 that will add the new content and features to the game. Below, you can check out a partial transcript of the full patch notes:
