At theDanganronpa10th Anniversary Event: Ultimate Class Reunion Event held on November 27, Spike Chunsoft revealedChou Tantei Jikenbo Raincode, a brand new game by Kazutaka Kodaka.
Chou Tantei Jikenbo Raincode, which can be translated to “Ultimate Detective Case Files Raincode” is a collaboration project between Spike Chunsoft and Tookyo Games, the relatively new studio where theDanganronpateam currently resides.
Danganronpa’s composer and character designer Masafumi Takada and Rui Komatsuzaki are working onRaincode. Kazutaka Kodaka is writing the scenario. Anofficial teaser sitewas opened, andRaincodeis officially described as a “Dark fantasy mystery”.

Several screenshots were revealed as well. You can clearly recognize the style of Rui Komatsuzaki, who is also currently working with Kodaka on extreme Basket animeTribe Nine, coming in Spring 2022. ATribe Nine3D action game for smartphones is also in production, with no release estimate.
Tookyo Games released so far the gamesDeath Come trueandWorld’s End Club, and the anime seriesAkudama Drive. They’re all projects with theDanganronpateam.
A first key visual was shared, showing what seems to be the protagonist in cliche detective attire, and a female character ingothloliattire who’s probably the main Heroine with super powers. Moreover, we can spot several ghost-like creatures as well so there’s definitely some Fantasy going on inRaincode.

But it’ll obviously come to the West at some point seeing how incredibly mainstreamDanganronpamanaged to become. Spike Chunsoft didn’t announce any platforms or release date estimate yet.
