Dandadanis undeniably the highlight of this fall anime season, and with every new episode, the hype grows more intense. There are many striking aspects of the anime, from its blend of different genres to its cast of likable characters. While most characters become fan favorites right away, some rub the audience the wrong way. And, Aira Shiratori definitely falls into the latter category.
Ever since Aira was introduced in the anime, discussions have been flooded with different opinions on the character. The hate towards her makes the upcoming introduction of Jiji a cause of concern. If fans hate Aira so much, one can only guess Jiji’s fate. Fans will be ruthless toward him, but before that, here’s what truly the Aira hate among fans is all about.
The Aira Hate Doesn’t Make Much Sense
Dandadanhas been ongoing in full swing, and fans can’t get enough of their favorite characters. Everything was going fine untilAira Shiratoriappeared in the anime. As soon as she was introduced, she pretended to be a nice girl but soon showed her true colors. Initially talking nicely to Okarun, she insulted him behind his back. This, in turn, offended Momo and in a way, Aira picked fights with both main characters.
Fans weren’t pleased with Aira and all the drama she brought along. On the other hand, Okarun and Momo are likable characters. Everyone was instantly in love with their distinct personalities and how perfectly they complemented each other. Aira was hurting and making things difficult for the fan-favorite duo. That’s precisely the reason why she bears the brunt of some intense hate from fans.

However, it might be a bit unwarranted as the character has only just been introduced. People can give her some time before locking in their opinion of her. This Just Makes Jiji’s introduction in the Anime a Cause for Concern
Briefly seen in the animeduring a flashback scene, Jiji has become an important character in the manga. While Jiji is extremely different from Aira, some manga fans see him as a threat to Momo and Okarun’s relationship. Even though it’s pretty clear that Momo x Okarun is all but confirmed in the manga. Jiji will be properly introduced in the anime in the upcoming episodes.

Fans’ treatment of Aira just makes Jiji’s potential introduction a cause of concern. Aira has been redeemed and is currently a favorite character for many manga readers. It’ll be interesting to see if her popularity will follow a similar graph among anime fans. As for Jiji, god bless him, as anime fans definitely don’t seem to have any intentions of being kind to the character.
Yukinobu Tatsuis extremely skilled at spinning things around and surprising fans. The manga has shown it to us numerous times and Aira is easily a great example of it. While the reaction towards her might not be entirely positive, it’s still nice to see how Tatsu can evoke so many emotions with his characters and storylines.
