In the Quentin Tarantino film, Pitt andEli Rothplayed Jewish American soldierswho plan to assassinate Hitler. Roth shared with PEOPLE that he received the most unhygienic advice from theTroyactor.
When Roth and Pitt came together for a close-up shot, Pitt told the actor about how he smelled badly. When Roth explained that he didn’t have time for a shower, Pitt went on to suggest that he use baby wipes. Roth toldPEOPLE:

“After a scene, Brad had to get next to me for a close-up shot, and he said, ‘Damn, you’re ripe.’ I said, ‘I didn’t have time to shower.’ He said, ‘Baby wipes, man, baby wipes.’”

While his habit started off as a dedication to the art, Brad Pitt had to resort to fewer showers due to his balancing life and work. At the time, he told Roth that he had to manage six very young kids who basically ruined any hygiene routines he had.
Pitt was committing to good films left and right, and he had to spend time with his kids whenever he was home. This meant that he couldn’t take a quick shower, whenever one of the kids peed on him. He told Roth (via PEOPLE):

“I got six kids. All you’ve got to do is just take them, a couple quick wipes under the pits. Man, I’m getting [peed] on all day. I don’t have time to take a shower.”
During an interview withLive with Kelly and Mark, actor Jason Priestley who was a roommate of Pitt shared that he could go a long time without showering. However, he explained that Pitt wasn’t as bad as his other roommate who was an absolute disaster (via Yahoo! News).
