The excitement forCyberpunk 2077has been palpablesince its release date was announced at E3 2019. While that date wasn’t met, and the following one wasn’t met either, gamers are itching to see what awaits them in Night City. The game seems to be worth the wait as a CD Project Red developer announced that he has been playing the game for 175 hours and still hasn’t beaten it.

" target="_blank" rel=“noopener noreferrer”>In a tweet from his personal Twitter account, CD Project Red’s QA Lead Åukasz Babiel posted two pictures in the popular meme format “how it started vs. how it’s going.” The first image shows one of the character classes you can choose at the start ofÂCyberpunk 2077, the nomad, and the next picture shows his playtime: 175 hours and 43 minutes.
Someone commented on his initial tweet asking if that’s the time it took Babiel to complete the game, however,
Not really, that’s just one of my ongoing slow paced playtroughs on the hardest difficulty where I play more stealthy than usual, loot everything, use every feature the game has to offer, I take my time ;).
" target="_blank" rel=“noopener noreferrer”>Babiel responded by saying that it’s, “just one of my ongoing slow-paced playthroughs on the hardest difficulty where I play more stealthy than usual, loot everything, use every feature the game has to offer, I take my time.”
This tweet makes it abundantly clear just how massiveÂCyberpunkÂis. From itsgranular character customization engineto its branching paths, the game seems to be filled with player choice allowing for each individual to take as much time as they need to get through the game.
Obviously, this 175-hour playthrough might not be entirely representative of everyone’s experience with the game, but it instills a lot of hope for people who are excited to see every nook and cranny of Night City.
Cyberpunk 2077is set to release on December 10th, (no really this time) for theXbox One,PS4, andPC, with next-gen updates coming for theXbox Series X|SandPS5at a later, undisclosed date.
