It was pretty predictable thatCyberpunk 2077would start its launch week at top of theUK sales chart, regarding the fact that there are no big launches other than CDPR’s highly-anticipated RPG inDecember this year. Despite its great number of sales at launch,Cyberpunk 2077still stands behind FIFA 21 in the biggest boxed launch week sales of 2020.
Almost 60% ofCyberpunk 2077’s physical sales in the UK belong to PS4 and 35% belong to Xbox One, with PC taking only 5% of the physical sales. That being said, over 50% of the game’s overall sales across the world, including digital versions, are related to PC.
During the upcoming weeks, most of the markets will host Christmas sales, butCyberpunk 2077will likely secure its full price until the end of this year, which might result in losing the top position of the table in a near future.
The second place, similar to the previous weeks, belongs toCall of Duty Black Ops Cold Warthat is going to receive its first season of post-launch content this Wednesday on December 14th. Last week,Black Ops Cold Warexperienced a 2% drop in sales compared to the week before last. This might end up inCall of Dutylosing its second position, regarding that Animal Crossing New Horizons increased its sales by 8% last week.
Assassin’s Creed Valhallasecured its 4th position and sold better thanFIFA 21. Electronic Arts removed the Black Friday and Cyber Monday discounts fromFIFA 21over the last week, which is the main reason behind its fall to the fifth position from the top of the table.
