Metro 2033 was first released in 2010 and is the first entry in the Metro franchise. The Redux version, which is the freebie game, was released in 2014 and featured graphical changes such as improved lighting, animations and particle effects and even dynamic weather. It also featured gameplay changes from Metro: Last Light to be implemented in the remastered version that featured improved controls, combat and stealth mechanics. 4A Games even added silent takedowns, customized weapons and the ability to wipe gas masks – features that were previously only available in Last Light.
