An Xbox insider believes that Toys for Bob has already started working on a four-playerCrash Bandicootgame with brawler mechanics.

The last time we heard anything about theCrash Bandicootseries was when Activision launchedCrash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. After that, the studio behind the game, Toys for Bob, started to help outCall of Dutydevelopers, so that Activision could rest assured that their yearly hit would be ready in time.

While this could mean that we wouldn’t get a newCrashanytime soon, a recent report from an industry insider claims that Toys for Bob is indeed working on a new entry for theCrash Bandicootseries.

Xbox Insider Jez Corden Claims That We Could See a New Crash Bandicoot Announcement This Month

In a recent stream,Jez Cordenappeared in Windows Central’s Summer Game Fest Predictions, talking about what games we could probably see in the upcoming showcases from Xbox and its acquired studios.

If you check out the video at 01:28:42, Jez Corden claims that there is already a multiplayerCrash Bandicootgame in the work with brawler mechanics. He avoids explaining more about the project, but it is already a huge leak if it turns out to be true.

Both Summer Game Fest and Xbox Showcase in June 2022 could be great places to announce the newCrash Bandicootgame, but we still suggest you take it with a grain of salt until we hear something official from Activision.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2,Overwatch 2, andDiablo 4are three big projects from Activision-Blizzard that have already been announced up until now.

Although Xbox has not officially taken over Activision-Blizzard yet, the announcement of a newCrash Bandicootcould hint at studios becoming more independent in working on their own IPs and beloved projects rather than all being a support for a major franchise.
