Mystremains an absolute classic of the genre. I’m not completely convinced I’ll be jumping back in to relive my childhood memories in VR. However, it’s neat for those who want to. At the very least, I’m interested to see what they’ve done in their quest to “reimagine” the game for the platform.
One thing I’ve seen that could be very interesting is the new optional puzzle randomization. So, even if you’ve playedMystover and over again in the almost 30 years since its release, you can make it feel new again.

At the very least, this should be a game that translates well to VR. It’s already first-person, and the focus on puzzles also works in its favor. In fact, this might be an excellent early game to try out for new users who cop a Quest 2 this holiday. It should be a great way to ease yourself intoeverything VR has to offer.
Mystis available now on the Oculus Quest platform. No word yet on if it will come to other headsets. That said, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see that happen in the future.
