Death seems inevitable in the world ofChainsaw Man, be it for the terrible monsters we call Devils or for the major protagonists of the series. But who would have thought the final day for some of the major characters was so close? Now that so many Chainsaw Man characters are out of the picture, the show definitely needs a few new ones to keep the series going.

Episode 11 of Chainsaw Man introduced us to several new characters like Spider Devil, Angel Devil, Violence Devil, and Beam, popularly known as the Shark Fiend. They all contribute a lot to the series, especially theAngel Deviland the Shark Fiend.
Introduction To Shark Fiend
Beam is introduced as aPublic Safety Devil Hunter working for Tokyo Special Division 4. As evident from the episode, Beam enjoys fighting a lot. His name suggests that heembodies the fear of sharks. Just like any other Fiend, Beam has a unique appearance. He has a sturdy body, and half of his face resembles a shark. The top of his head is replaced by a shark’s fin. Beam has sharp teeth and black hair and is usually seen wearing swimming trunks. In his half transformation, Beam’s head is completely transformed into a shark with three eyes, and in his full transformation, he fully converts into a shark with multiple eyes and fins.
Beam was introduced in the 34th chapter of Chainsaw Man manga in the Katana Man Arc. Hisname was inspired by Cherubim, the angel of the highest order of the Christian angelic hierarchy.Natsuki Hanae is the voice actor of Shark Devil, known for voicing Ken Kaneki in Tokyo Ghoul and Tanjiro Kamado inDemon Slayer.
Shark Fiend’s Relationship With Denji
Some characters consider Denji as their friend, and others don’t get along with him, but Shark Fiend has a special relationship with Denji as he is adevotee of Chainsaw Devil. He greatly respects Chainsaw Man, a.k.a Denji, and can do anything for him. Similar to Denji, Beam also seems to have a few"loose screws,“which make them get along quite well. Together, Denji and Beam have fought a few crazy fights and won, most notably against Reze in the Bomb Devil Arc. Shark Fiend shows his hundred percent trust in Chainsaw Man and can do anything to protect him, even if it costs him his life.
What Are Shark Fiend’s Powers?
Beam is not considered immensely powerful, but he has shown his worth against several powerful enemies. He has an incrediblydurable body, which we see when he is able to take direct blasts from the Bomb Girl. He is able to swim like a shark, not just in water but also through solid objects. However, he cannot take others with him.After his devil transformation, Shark Fiend becomes stronger, and his whole body turns into a shark. Hissense of smell is far superiorto others. Based on her scent, he was able to conclude that Reze was the Bomb Devil.
