For years,ÂCall of DutyÂplayers have been forced (with the exception ofCall of Duty: WWII) to use scorestreaks during their multiplayer matches. With this year’sÂCall of Duty: Modern WarfareÂthat’s all changing, as developer Infinity Ward has confirmed that killstreaks will finally be making a return when the game hits store shelves this October.The news was announced just a few moments ago onÂCall of Duty’sÂofficial Twitter account, which also saw the reveal of a few specific killstreaks. The first is the White Phosphorus streak, which blankets the field in smoke that disorients and burns enemies, which seems almost like Nova Gas from the Treyarch games if it was dropped in by an airstrike. Another streak confirmed was the return of the Juggernaut armor fromÂModern Warfare 3.ÂJust like that version, this one can be called in by a Care Package and will give players access to the famous heavy gear. Finally, Infinity Ward also revealed Infantry Assault Tank, which allows players to drive a freakin' tank across the maps and mow enemies down with a .50 cal machine gun.If you want to check out images of the scorestreaks as well as the tweet itself, you may find it, like always, at the end of the article.This tease comes just a couple days before the full reveal ofModern Warfare’sÂmultiplayer. Over the past few days, Infinity Ward has been teasing different aspects about the multiplayer, including how each map starts and some of the weapon customization. So far, it’s looking like an incredibly different experience from what’s been done in the past.Call of Duty: Modern WarfareÂis set to be released on August 18, 2025, and will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
